Join TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC as a Director, Structured Finance.


The Director, Structured Finance, U.S. is responsible for analyzing, coordinating and implementing renewables development, M&A and financing opportunities.  The Director, Structured Finance will develop strong partnerships with the financiers and equity partners and deliver financing solutions.  


What You Will Bring:


  • 10+ years of transaction experience in renewable energy or project finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business; master’s degree preferred 
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly, in both oral and written forms
  • Experience negotiating and modeling tax-advantaged transactions (leases and partnerships) or working in power or energy markets.
  • Capable of managing and leading complex transactions involving multiple counterparties
  • Robust quantitative and analytical skills
  • Capable of advancing multiple work streams simultaneously, autonomously
  • Fluency in English, experience working in multi-cultural / multi-site environment

Activiteiten

  • Shaping and informing project finance tax equity and back leverage strategy for the Renewables business.
  • Primary deal leads responsible for negotiating, structuring and closing of tax equity and back leverage financings.
  • Primary responsibility for financial modeling of Renewables projects (Solar, Offshore Wind or Battery/Storage) to assess the projects’ economic profitability and prepare commercial negotiations with lenders, tax and cash equity partners.  Team leads are expected to own the model, use their familiarity with the key drivers to negotiate financing terms, and train junior colleagues on best practices.
  • Prepare internal committee presentation (financial statements, economic results for TotalEnergies, sensitivities) to senior management for investment decisions.
  • Preparing marketing presentations for potential financing & equity partners. 
  • Overseeing of the different attorneys and consultants in a closing process.
  • Leading investor meetings and outreach, serving as an external face of the Renewables business.
  • Evaluating project bankability and assisting in offtake agreement structuring.own 
  • Assist with securing PPAs matching the pipeline development opportunities in coordination with the local teams and PPA Team 
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders (public entities, development or JV partners, advisors, investors (banks, tax equity, insurance companies, corporate PPAs offtakers, etc.)
  • Drive the progress of each project by outlining & prioritizing key work streams & leading all necessary internal & external steps in the process
  • Keep himself/herself fully informed on key market developments and industry news/events to quickly identify business opportunities
