As Medical Officer, you will be a trusted point of contact for health and medical management across TotalEnergies EP Denmark, working closely with HR, HSSE, offshore teams, contractors, headquarters medical specialists, and external stakeholders.

Activités

Key responsibilities

As Medical Officer, you will be responsible for medical oversight and health management across TotalEnergies EP Denmark’s onshore and offshore activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Medical governance and advisory support: Act as point of contact for the headquarters Medical Department, support TotalEnergies EP Denmark contract owners, advise on offshore medical service delivery, and provide medical oversight, expertise, and leadership across onshore and offshore medical provisions.
  • Occupational health and absence management: Manage sickness absence, case reviews, return-to-work planning, workplace adaptations, and verification of offshore medical certificates for personnel travelling to worksites.
  • Health risk, wellbeing, and business continuity: Monitor health concerns and pandemics, maintain site health risk assessments, promote healthy lifestyles, support wellbeing initiatives, and help minimize operational disruption.
  • Compliance, standards, and health surveillance: Support health programs in line with country regulations, TotalEnergies standards, and relevant international standards, and conduct occupational health surveillance data analysis.
  • Service and insurance oversight: Investigate medical service complaints or deviations, consult headquarters for medical expertise, and support HR on workforce medical insurance.
  • Industrial hygiene and drug testing: Advise within industrial hygiene, support compliance, plan site audits, and manage the company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy and related testing.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Build strong relationships with HR, HSSE, offshore teams, contractors, medical service providers, government health authorities, and relevant Danish offshore committees.

Profil du candidat

What we are looking for in a candidate

  • Authorization to practice medicine in Denmark
  • Experience as a medical doctor in emergency medicine, general medicine, an emergency department, or prehospital emergency medicine beyond student level
  • Strong understanding of occupational health, medical governance, sickness absence management, and return-to-work processes
  • Ability to advise on offshore medicals, fit-to-return medicals, workplace adaptations, and health risk assessments
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is an advantage
  • Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) registration as a doctor, or willingness to become certified

Additional background and experience

  • Experience with occupational health surveillance, medical case reviews, and sickness absence case management
  • Ability to work with offshore medical certificate standards such as Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) and the Danish Offshore Medical Certificate (DANOP) including fitness to work offshore
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene, health risk assessments, wellbeing programs, pandemic preparedness, food safety, mental health, and epidemic control is an advantage
  • Experience from the oil and gas industry is a plus
