About the Role

As Transmission & Interconnection Policy Manager, you will play a critical leadership role at the intersection of policy, power systems, and business strategy.

You will represent TotalEnergies in front of federal, state, and local regulatory bodies, ISOs/RTOs, utilities, and industry working groups, helping shape regulatory outcomes that directly impact our renewable and power portfolio.

This role is instrumental in driving regulatory strategy, stakeholder engagement, and tariff evolution—ensuring our projects move forward efficiently and competitively in a dynamic power landscape.


What You’ll Do
  • Lead regulatory initiatives across solar, wind, BESS, and large load assets, aligning with transmission, interconnection, and commercial priorities
  • Develop and represent regulatory strategies with ISOs/RTOs, TSPs/DSPs, utilities, and agencies
  • Advocate for TotalEnergies’ interests in regulatory forums, interconnection working groups, and policy discussions
  • Analyze evolving interconnection tariffs and regulatory frameworks, delivering clear, actionable business recommendations
  • Translate complex policy into insights on risk, timelines, costs, and project impacts
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings, comments, and proposals to influence policy outcomes
  • Partner cross-functionally to align technical, regulatory, and commercial teams 
  • Lead stakeholder engagement strategies and support internal alignment on key regulatory topics

Profil du candidat

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, power markets, or energy policy (U.S. energy sector preferred)
  • Strong experience with ISO/RTO markets (ERCOT, MISO, PJM, CAISO, SPP, etc.) and interconnection processes
  • Deep understanding of transmission systems, interconnection tariffs, and regulatory structures
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to simplify complex technical and regulatory topics
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across internal and external audiences
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess policy impacts on business strategy
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities
