Following its objective of carbon neutrality by 2050, TotalEnergies is strongly increasing its worldwide position in the whole power value chain, and especially in fast growing sector of renewables and flexible generation assets. To maximize the full value of such Power assets on spot markets, TotalEnergies Gas & Power aims to be present at each step of the value chain: from trading on the curve up to Day Ahead optimization, Intraday and ancillary services. This optimization of Short-Term Power positions is based on a European framework with aggregation of generation (CCGT, Wind, Solar), flexibilities (DSR, Batteries, Hydro Plant), and power supply portfolio in order to maximize value creation for TotalEnergies company.
The job holder is part of a team located in Liège, while interacting with multiple teams spread across several European locations for trading control. The team will act in an uncertain energy commodity trading context with extreme market volatility due to a variety of factors including worldwide economics, energy resource development, political and legislative changes, climate change, and energy demand.

As a Short-Term Power Dispatcher (m/f/d), you will be part of the Short-Term Power Europe department, a young, dynamic, and growing team. You will report directly to the Short-Term Power Belgium Manager and be responsible for the short-term balancing and real-time dispatching of TotalEnergies's power portfolio in Belgium.
Key responsibilities:
* Collaborate with centralized Day-ahead and Intraday teams to ensure the balancing and optimization of TotalEnergies's power portfolio in Belgium;
* Operate and optimize flexible assets in real-time, including BESS, CCGT, CHPs and a hydro power plant;
* Serve as the single point of contact with various market players in the energy landscape, including the Transmission System Operator, traders, other energy suppliers, green electricity producers, operators of power assets, trading platforms, and data and services providers;
* Support projects to further secure, optimize, or extend the activities of the Short-Term desk.
* You have a master degree in a quantitative discipline (economics, engineering, mathematics, business administration, etc.);
* You are passionate about the energy sector and want to learn more about the energy trading;
* You can easily understand complex market mechanisms;
* You have an analytical mindset and can easily analyze and summarize a lot of information;
* You speak French and English, Dutch is a plus;
* You are skilled in Excel and VBA; experience in python is an asset;
* You are able to work in a stressed environment and manage priorities in a timely manner.
You will be based in Liège and work in shift during 50 % of your time (week days : 7 am - 3 pm and 2 pm - 10 pm, week-end : 9 am - 5 pm).
