  • Complex regulatory frame work within the petroleum industry with ongoing changes.
  • Over the past years, low profitability of the affiliate, requires strict variance analysis in the different activities of the business.
  • The size of the affiliate, enables the incumbent to easily interact with staff members as well as visit of depots.

Activités

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance / Statistics / IT.
  • 3 years working experience / management experience required. 
  • Oil Industry or related experience; experience of Marketing business processes; 2 years’ experience in compiling management reports and interpreting results; experience in dealing with specialist staff and support functions to achieve business outcomes and experience in collating large budgets.
  • Special skills required: Microsoft products especially MS Excel at advanced level; Working knowledge of SAP Template Light SD, G&S, MM & FICO modules; PCA exposure advantageous.
  • Competencies required: Analytical ability; Attention to detail; Computer literacy; Ability to work under pressure; Project Management; Interpersonal skills; Communication skills (written and verbal) and Planning and organizing.

Profil du candidat

This position is responsible for financial controlling / reporting / planning function for Namibia:

  • To be the Ministry of Finance contact & to coordinate the submission and payment of all taxes & ensure proper documentation are kept. 
  • Management of road subsidy claims and ensure it is timeous and optimally claimed.
  • Compilation and management of the price adjustments.
  • To compile, control and capture fixed asset register.
  • Participation in the monthly RES and annual Result Studies by obtaining and providing meaningful information on trends and events in the market.
  • Passing of journals entries for correction and accruals.
  • Validation of TMNA and OOC’s buy/sell reconciliations as well as transport invoices.
  • Timely submission of all tax returns, road subsidy claims, fuel levy refunds and reports, Import VAT reports.
  • To verify information pertaining to sales, capex, opex & income.
  • To help with annual budgeting process and to compile monthly business review and KPI’s; reporting for Board purposes, to validate and investigate financial statement anomalies.
  • To analyse PCA reporting, formulate targets and action plans.
  • Assist in preparation of KPC and IEC.

 

Business developments:

  • To participate in information projects that has an impact on the financial statements of TMNA.
  • To help optimise the use of available technology to improve the flow of available information to TMNA business support.
  • To establish and maintain credibility with management and staff as an individual of professional integrity and financial knowledge.
  • To establish and maintain professional and integral relationship with external auditors.
  • Financial Audit findings(Closure of findings).
  • Legal compliances – Financial and Regulation Matters.

 

HSEQ:

 

  • To effectively manage and minimise HSE risk within area of responsibility by ensuring:
  • Compliance with all HSE Policies, rules, guideline and legal requirements. 
  •  Promotion of safe working environment and positively contributing to the company HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies
  • That HSE competency requirements are identified & enforced within area of responsibility.

 

Participate in all HSSEQ activities of TMNA and ensure that the team do the same i.e. Near misses, HSEQ tool Box talk and Golden rules exercises.
