Contexte et environnement

  • Complex regulatory framework within the petroleum industry with ongoing changes. Over the past years, low profitability of the affiliate, requires strict variance analysis in the different activities of the business
  • The size of the affiliate, enables the incumbent to easily interact with other staff members as well as visit depots. 

Activités

The incumbent of this role would carry out the following duties: 

Ensure Total Namibia Profitability through coordination of:

  • Business Plans 
  • Supervision  of   Account Payable  processes (include contractual rental  payments )   
  • Expenses, Capital   variances   analysis  and  forecast reports 
  • Network Accounting   Contribution (NCA)  report and   commercial  profitability  analysis   (together with KE24 and GR55 Report ) to ensure  maximum   profitability for Total Namibia .
  • Analyze , daily , weekly and monthly sales  report  in terms   of  GMVC and   Margins   (CPL)  in order to ensure    that   no  transactions  or customer   with a negative margin. 
  • In conjunction with the sales team –  ensure Customers Master  Data  is   correctly set  in order  to   ensure cost and  sales  allocations   correctly  (Advise  the Sales   team accordingly).   
  • Reporting on operational performance:  volume trends analysis, market share, credit management.
  • In conjunction with Operation Manager analyze monthly stock gains and losses   of TMNA and assist in diagnosing the root causes and recommendation for closing the gap. (Stock Mass Balance Analysis ) 
  • In conjunction with Financial Controller/Admin Manager, Compiling of data required for the monthly Business Review reports.
  • Integrity of  TMNA   Financial Data   
  • Financial Data   are compiled as per the relevant policies, standards and regulations (i.e credit management, Stock control, Intercompany payments.
  • Assist in preparation of KPCs and IEC
  • Adhoc financial   analysis projects at Financial Controller/Admin Manager and MD’s request. 
  • Financial Audit   findings   (Closure of findings) 
  • Legal  compliances   - Financial  and  Regulations   Matters 

 

Business developments:

  • To participate in information projects that has an impact on the financial statements of Total Namibia.
  • To help optimise the use of available technology to improve the flow of available information to TMNA business support.
  • To establish and maintain credibility with management and staff as an individual of professional integrity and financial knowledge
  • To establish and maintain professional and integral relationship with external auditors
  • Financial Audit   findings   (Closure of findings) 
  • Legal  compliances   - Financial  and  Regulations   Matters 

 

People Management:

  • To manage a team of 1 Accounts Controller responsible for Accounts payable duties and purchasing responsibilities of the company, including appraising, training, motivating and developing staff capacity

 

HSEQ:

  • To effectively manage and minimise HSE risk within area of responsibility by ensuring:
    • Compliance with all HSE Policies, rules, guideline and legal requirements. 
    • Promotion of safe working environment and positively contributing to the company HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies
    • That HSE competency requirements are identified & enforced within area of responsibility.

 

Participate in all HSSEQ activities of TMNA and ensure that the team do the same i.e. Near misses, HSEQ tool Box talk and Golden rules exercises.

Profil du candidat

To qualify for this position, you would need to have the following requirements: 

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance / Statistics / IT
  • 5 years working experience / management experience required
  • Sound understanding of the   petroleum industry (include costs  and pricing structures)
  • Working knowledge  of   SAP/Harmony   system   
  • Detailed knowledge of  accounting principles and  practices  
  • Company policies and procedures 
  • Statutory regulations ( Laws) 
  • Understanding of   Stock Management principles and practices. 
  • Knowledge of Total Group Financial   Systems and Reporting rules a plus 
  • Advanced working knowledge of the SAP/Harmonie system and good personal computer skills
