Context & Environment

Within the development dynamic, the Network Developer must anticipate changes in the environment, identify potential projects and coordinate the action of multiple people (both external and internal) involved in each contract within the agreed timeframe.

Is based at the Head Office but requires on-site visits.

Responsible for creating and maintaining a strong relational network among economic players.

The network developer must handle high-pressure from the land owners and be aware that the risks of litigation related to land matters is significant.

Reporting to the Network Director, the Network Developer works within the framework of the annual investment policy guidelines to create value (NPV). This is achieved by designing and proposing programs to develop, optimize and ensure the medium-term continuity of the Network in the sector for which the Network Developer is responsible. 

Atividades

Strategy and prospecting

  • Checks the consistency of the grid in built-up areas 
  • Investigates potential development projects in the area (road network, highways, town planning etc.)
  • Studies possibilities for creating, rebuilding and buying service stations
  • Participates in the Network segmentation
  • Carries out preliminary studies and determines potential
  • Provides management with a prioritized program of investments aligned with profitability objectives (IRR, NPV, payback)
  • Proposes, contributes to and participates in closing and disinvestment plans

Feasibility and validation of the projects

  • Make sure that HSE standards and rules are a pre-requisite to any investment file
  • Analyzes documents on the sector, coordinating the activity of the various contact people (sales, legal, technical etc.)
  • Presents projects to the Network Director, the Managing Director and the zone representative.
  • Ensure profitability of the project presented

Rollout steering

  • Undertakes external negotiations (local authorities, public services, lessors, owners) for the projects for which the Network Developer is responsible
  • Renegotiates leasing terms for operational sites
  • Arbitrates on investment decisions at meetings between sales and maintenance teams
  • Take part and monitors projects under his/her scope
  • Monitors the execution of work in conjunction with the departments concerned and ensures adherence to set programs
  • Organizes and coordinates the commercial acceptance of reconstruction and modernization projects
  • Performs safety visits to sites to ensure compliance with HQSE policy

REX

  • Carry out the post-investment follow-up of the projects
  • Provides feedback on projects by reporting to management on their observations, analyses and conclusions
  • The network developer works in close collaboration with construction engineers, maintenance, sales teams, HQSE and management control

Perfil do Candidato

  • University degree (business or engineering) 
  • Self-starter, tenacity, anticipation
  • Cross-functional management ability, ease of communication
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough and methodical with organizational and scheduling skills
  • Social and negotiation skills
  • Between 3 and 5 years of experience and knowledge relevant to the Network in economic and/or technical fields
  • Skilled in methods / tools for valuing assets and assessing project profitability 
  • Good command of English and Portuguese
