Are you a seasoned mechanical engineering professional with strong expertise in static equipment and offshore project delivery?

 

TotalEnergies EP Malaysia is seeking a Lead Mechanical / Pressure Vessel Engineer to lead the design, engineering, and delivery of mechanical and static equipment across major development projects and operating assets. This role is critical in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient mechanical systems from concept through to commissioning and start-up.

Your Impact

As a Lead Mechanical / Pressure Vessel Engineer, you will:

  • Lead mechanical and static equipment engineering, including pressure vessels, tanks, and utility packages, across all project phases from concept and FEED to construction and commissioning.
  • Oversee mechanical design deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage interfaces with contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and constructible design solutions.
  • Support procurement and vendor management activities, including technical evaluations, FAT, SAT, and progress monitoring.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning while ensuring alignment with HSE and operational requirements.

Perfil do Candidato

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with at least 15 years of oil and gas experience, including 10 years in offshore mechanical and static equipment engineering.
  • Proven experience across full project lifecycle, including development, detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning, preferably within an operator environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, ASTM, etc.) related to pressure vessels and mechanical systems.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary interfaces and delivering mechanical packages such as pressure vessels, tanks, HVAC systems, and utility skids.
  • Professional Engineer certification preferred, with strong leadership, communication skills, and ability to work across office, yard, and offshore environments.
