Context & Environment

TotalEnergies is seeking a motivated an IT Communications & Technical Analyst Intern for a year‑long, paid internship based in Downtown Houston.

This role is designed for a student with a strong communications foundation and a genuine interest in information technology, data, automation, and AI. The intern will help connect IT teams with the business by translating technical activities into clear, engaging, and meaningful communications.

You will work closely with regional and global IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners. With minimal supervision, you will support daily IT operations, communications, and continuous improvement initiatives, while contributing to a strong user experience across the organization.

This internship offers hands-on experience, global exposure, and the opportunity to grow professionally in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Atividades

IT Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Share IT and business news through email, Viva Engage, digital signage, posters, and SharePoint
  • Establish strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders to communicate IT activities clearly and effectively
  • Act as a liaison between IT and the business to ensure services and solutions are delivered as designed
  • Ensure IT personnel and end users are informed about service outages, new products, projects, and IT solutions
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of regional and global IT newsletters, including quarterly publications
  • Develop creative and engaging ways to communicate IT information across multiple sites and platforms


Analytics, Reporting & KPIs

  • Create IT reports, dashboards, and KPIs to support operational and management decision‑making
  • Analyze data, extract insights, and communicate results in a clear, business‑focused way
  • Use tools such as Power BI, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and M365/LIFT applications to support reporting and analysis


Training, IT Café & User Experience

  • Ensure the IT Café remains modern, engaging, and relevant
  • Organize and conduct IT Café sessions, espresso trainings, and learning events
  • Identify training topics and encourage subject‑matter experts to host and contribute
  • Develop short training videos and targeted communications for IT teams and IT clients
  • Create instructional content and meaningful videos to help users navigate IT tools and get support
  • Collect feedback, surveys, and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of training and communication initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the IT user experience through clear and proactive communication


Operations, Processes & Collaboration

  • Develop efficient processes to communicate IT activities internally and externally
  • Develop and maintain the TGITS AMAS SharePoint, providing key information for IT and business users
  • Organize team‑building and engagement activities across IT teams to strengthen collaboration and team spirit
  • Document and share outcomes from IT team activities across digital communication platforms
  • Facilitate meetings as needed, including preparing agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes
  • Prepare professional agendas and presentations for visiting colleagues and external partners
  • Support onboarding processes for IT personnel and end users, enhancing the overall onboarding experience
  • Support the business in effectively using M365/LIFT apps and other IT products and services


Professional Development

  • Complete required training and actively participate in team and departmental activities
  • Collaborate with global IT teams, including colleagues based in Paris, Romania, and India
  • Support local and regional IT initiatives, with potential opportunities to visit refineries, power sites, or offices

Perfil do Candidato

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program
    • Major in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field
    • Completion of at least sophomore year prior to internship start date required
  • Exposure to AI, automation, or data mining
  • Experience or coursework in data analysis, reporting, or analytics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to Information Technology, AI, digital tools, and user experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  • Self‑starter with adaptability in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to work onsite in Downtown Houston


Preferred

  • Additional Major/Minor in Communications or related field
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Canva
  • Knowledge of IT service management and ITIL concepts
  • Experience working in a professional or corporate environment
