Context & Environment

The Absheron Conventional Gas & Condensates field is located offshore Azerbaijan Republic in the Caspian Sea in 500 meters depth, at about 100km southeast of Baku, 25km north-east of Shah Deniz field and 34km south of Oil Rocks production and processing facilities. The project aims at supplying natural gas for both domestic market via Sangachal main facilities (condensate) and for international export market via the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP).

Atividades

  • During FEED phase, coordinate the onshore FEED contractor in UK and supervise the company engineering team.
  • Prepare and coordinate the call for tender phase ( Asian players) which was launched in two phased: optimization and binding phase.
  • Coordinate the cold eyes review and design optimization of the central processing facility in close relation with HQ
  • Define, implement, and lead the onshore package team organization, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and objectives, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
  • Plan and identify upcoming tasks and potential problem areas, implementing solutions as appropriate, including the efficient use of resources to meet project requirements.
  • Proactively manage risks associated with the project, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, implementing best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Lead the team to deliver CPF, pipelines ready for operations, meeting quality, safety, and fitness-for-purpose standards in compliance with approved budget and schedule.
  • Review the performance, financials, budgets, and activity reports to monitor and measure productivity, progress, and activity levels. 
  • Monitor and control Contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including HSE, QA/QC, technical requirements, cost, and schedule.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with contractors, vendors, 3rd parties
  • Ensure effective interface management in coordination with Interface Manager and Interface Engineers.
  • Support Project Director in partners relations. Serve as the focal point on onshore package for presenting and reporting to stakeholders, sponsors, and shareholders, as required.
  • Capture lessons learned and share feedback with other Company entities to improve future projects.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to the Project Director on progress, risks, and key issues.

Perfil do Candidato

  • Experience in similar position (years): 10 at same or equivalent position.
  • Professional Experience (years): 15+ in major oil and gas projects 
  • Extensive experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, or service companies in O&G industry, experience in contract management, negotiations.
  • Familiarity with Partners and 3rd Parties management
  • Broad experience and demonstrated competence in managing across all phases of project execution including start up and handover, and managing technical issues (knowledge on onshore and gas treatment facilities preferred).
  • Strong Knowledge in project planning, scheduling, cost control, and Change Management.
  • Ability to make complex decisions using risk assessment approach.
  • Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Languages: Fluent English mandatory.
