Context & Environment

REN is TotalEnergies’ Division in charge of the development, construction, O&M, asset management and financing of renewable projects: large and small scale (distributed generation) solar, onshore and offshore wind, off-grid energy, storage.
Its strategic objective is to accumulate 35 GW by 2025, 100 GW of operational renewables by 2030 (end of April 2023 baseline : 18,2 GW)
Given this ambitious growth agenda, the rapid pace of operations, and the regular changes, agility and fast-learning are imperatives:

Atividades

The role of the Renewable PPA Coordinator is crucial in facilitating effective coordination between the Direction of Assets and Countries and the Integrated Power Business Unit.


During origination

  • Provides inputs on prioritizations & risks (level of precision depends on the stage gate, adapted check lists & actions per gate).
  • Provides indicative price assumptions for off-take revenues and off-take related costs assumptions (as part of the Project Offtake Plan) as SPOC of the Integrated Power BU
  • Participates to the definition of the offtake strategy
  • Supports BD for negotiations with customers.


During project development

  • Analyzes destination market: Regulatory and Market DD to make sure all risks have been mapped (check lists)
  • Challenges and implements the “Go To Market strategy”.
  • Provides more detailed and precise Offtake price & cost assumptions


In operations:

  • As the single point of contact with the Integrated Power BU, the Offtake Coordinator Officer analyzes BU Power’s instructions and demands
  • The position transmits the adapted offtake instructions to the countries
  • Provides guidance and supports to the country MD and asset manager pertaining to offtake strategy
  • Provides feedback to Integrated Power BU
  • Establishes key performance indicators and regularly assesses the progress against these indicators.

Perfil do Candidato

The Incumbent is expected to have a range of competencies and experience including:

  • Graduated from Engineering School or master’s degree
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in the energy markets
  • Language: French & English.
  • Deep understanding of the energy market, including various technologies, market trends and regulatory frameworks
  • In-depth knowledge of power purchase agreements (PPAs), interconnection processes, and energy market mechanisms.
  • Lead project management experience and proven skills including across functions and business cultures.
  • Strong analytical, financial and market modelling and risk skills / Good knowledge of Excel, other MSFT
