You will join a collaborative Cost Controlling team in Esbjerg, working closely with budget owners, operational stakeholders and Finance partners to drive cost transparency and continuous improvement.

Atividades

As the Cost Controller, you will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure strong cost control, accurate reporting, and high-quality financial insight across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Deliver data for the Annual Budget and Closure Forecasts and challenge forecast relevance
  • Prepare and present budget materials for Management in line with corporate guidelines


Month-End Closure & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate posting and quality review of accruals, timesheets, and cost drivers in SAP
  • Monitor and analyse costs for monthly, quarterly, and annual closures, including correct cost classification and allocations
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, highlighting cost trends, deviations, and key financial metrics by level and area
  • Define allocation tariffs, execute allocations, and maintain financial performance overviews
  • Verify cost elements, accounting assignments, and budget availability for manual service PRs
  • Close commitments in SAP in compliance with accounting and SOX requirements
  • Work closely with Operations and Support functions and participate in financial review meetings


Other Operational Finance

  • Act as a close finance partner to Management, Budget Owners, and spenders on cost estimation, tracking, and control
  • Perform capital project accounting, including WBS and cost center structures
  • Respond to audit queries and support resolution of audit findings


Accountabilities / Purpose

  • Act as the Finance focal point and trusted advisor to the Extended Leadership team, driving financial ownership and accountability
  • Provide financial leadership and support on reporting, business performance, and execution of financial strategies
  • Deliver robust business analysis to support decision-making, challenging forecasts, long-term plans, and financial assumptions

Perfil do Candidato

Who we are looking for 

We are looking for a cost controller to join our Cost Controlling team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing our internal costs, ensuring that they are within budget and aligned with the company's objectives. 

 

For effective and efficient cost control, it is important that you have

  • strong analytical skills
  • attention to detail 
  • proficiency in Excel and other software tools. 

 

This position calls for excellent communication and teamwork skills, as you will be collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders.

 

Your background

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree within relevant area
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Finance
  • Excellent English skills (written and oral)
  • Knowledge about accounting principles and financial standards rules
  • Strong Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and SAP skills

 

Finally, it is an advantage that you

  • Have experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes in a business-facing finance role
  • Have hands-on month-end close exposure (accruals, cost follow-up, and variance analysis)
  • Are comfortable communicating financial insights to non-finance stakeholders and challenging assumptions constructively
  • Bring strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) and an interest in improving reporting and automation
