Context & Environment

  • Dynamic working environment with diverse group of colleagues consisting of both locals and expatriates
  • Provide support services to other entities within Cambodia
  • Numerous reporting requirements (Group and External) with tight deadlines
  • Frequent contact and dealings with various external parties (e.g. SSC, auditors, tax agents, authorities, etc).

Activiteiten

    • Ensure timely and accurate closing of finance and accounting activities on a monthly basis which includes delivering timely and accurate financial processing, month end and annual closing activities, balance sheet and APL reconciliation, and other accounting reconciliation
    • Review all posting to ensure that they are properly done with supporting documents and approved as per DoAs
    • Timely and accurate CAP reporting on a quarterly basis including consolidation of TEMC
    • Ensure completion of Light Fl checklist for full GL 
    • Regular follow up with the relevant stakeholders on the accruals/provisions, prepayments and deposits management
    • Monthly review and follow up on the outstanding items on the financial schedules
    • Ensure all relevant GL items are cleared timely after informing management on the financial impact
    • Coordinator for the annual statutory audit and responsible for the production of the annual statutory accounts and audit report timely including liaison with Legal for all the necessary documents for the annual filing.
    • Ensure local regulatory statistical reporting is prepared and submitted on time
    • Prepare tax schedules annually and ad hoc basis to both local tax agent and Group's tax counterparty
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission and filing of VAT/WHT reporting and payment
    • Proactively perform preventive quality controls and takes corrective actions when necessary
    • Check for compliance of the Group's and Local accounting/reporting rules and policies and accounting standards
    • Maintain the coherence and integrity of TEMC's chart of account and GL master together with controlling team
    • Main contact/liaison for internal business partners, auditors, tax agents, local authorities/ government, etc
    • Monitor SSC production performance through service level agreement compliance monitoring as well as active escalation
    • Manage the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations
    • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial reporting accuracy and integrity.
    • Assess and analyse the financial situation and propose improvement action plans.
    • Participate in complex projects and to show the effects of proposed plans on the overall financial situation.
    • Any other ad-hoc projects assigned
  • Tax Compliance

    • Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with Cambodian law on taxation
    • Prepare and maintain local transfer pricing documents in accordingly to Cambodian law on taxation
    • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the Company
    • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the Company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance.
    • Provide guidance on tax-related matters to other departments and senior management.
    • Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to manage tax-related inquiries and audits.
  • Internal Control and others

    • Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure financial accuracy.
    • Identify and address any weaknesses in internal controls, implementing improvements as needed within CA finance function
    • To be a focal point with the shared services centre.

Profiel kandidaat

  • Bachelor Degree/Master Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration.
  • ACCA/CPA qualification is preferred   
  • At least 7 years of relevant working experience.  
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to analyse, compare and interpret facts and figures and make sound judgement on issues encountered.  
  • Good at multitasking  
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power point)
