Contexte et environnement

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Operations, Process Support or Maintenance. 
  • Good technical knowledge of combustion, heaters, boilers. 
  • Good communication skills with the ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge to Process Support Engineers and Operators
  •  Ensures the implementation of the best operating strategy and the optimal valorization of the equipment (tuning of burners, optimization of heaters, decoking). 
  •  Contributes to the continuous improvement of energy efficiency of the Refinery (combustion optimization, identification of energy losses, insulation integrity, heat recovery improvements). 
  •  Organizes and runs performance surveys of Heaters and Boilers (field measurements of IR temperatures, pressures, flue gas composition, and measurement of heater fuel efficiency). 
  • Contributes to the reliability and to the availability of the equipment by helping Operations to solve problems (field measurements) and by advising Maintenance on needed actions.
  • Assists the Performance Control Department for material balances.
  • Prepares the monthly reports for the Heaters (performances, KPI) and supports central network need for plant data.
  •  Participates in the preparation of the operating windows, and their follow-up. 
  • Coordinates the creation, development and maintenance of monitoring tools necessary for this control (Excel, PI, M-PRO, StarLims). 
  •  Turnaround: participates to the preparation of work lists for turnarounds (audits of combustion equipment), participates in the shutdowns, and to the reception of the equipment under his/her responsibility (turnaround report, documentation).
  •  Insures the technology watch of equipment. Manages and organizes the classification of the documentation linked to this technology watch. 
  •  Participates in the training of the personnel responsible for the operation and optimization of fired equipment. 
  • Participates in the development and the perpetuation of the specific technical knowledge in the area of combustion with the Operations and Process Support teams
  •  Participates in the analyses of incidents and accidents (HSEQ). 
  •  Participates in projects in the area of combustion (definition of requirements)

Activités

The basic function of the Fired Equipment Specialist is to provide the expert technical support in the area of combustion and fired equipment, ensure the optimization and coordinate the technical follow-up of the combustion equipment, and contribute to the continuous improvement of energy efficiency of the Refinery, and to the achievement of a high level of safety and reliability of fired equipment. It also serves as the single point contact regarding fired equipment to other departments of the Refinery, other entities of the Group or to outside companies.




Profil du candidat

Provides technical assistance in order to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the fired equipment of the refinery (Heaters, Boilers, Flares) and to improve their global efficiency. Ensures the optimization of the combustion equipment. Participates in the monitoring of the equipment of combustion and advises for in the preparation of maintenance prior and during turn-around.
 * Number of fired equipment of the refinery = 50
 * 1% improvement of Fuel Gas consumption = about 1 M$/year

Interfaces with various groups in the refinery such as Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Process Support Groups, and Turnaround Team. 
 * Outside interfaces with TotalEnergies Industrial Division, contractors, engineering companies, suppliers, manufacturers
