Contexte et environnement

We are currently looking for a Support Engineer to mainly follow-up the industrial performance of our main asset in Saudi Arabia, the SATORP joint venture with Aramco as partner. This position is in close contact with the Industrial coordinator but also plays an important role in communication with Headquarters (Paris & Brussels).

As Support Engineer your expected results are to follow/ improve the Satorp industrial performance analysis, to help sharing with the JV the Best Company Practices and, also, in the context of the construction and future start-up of Petrochemical plant (Amiral project), to facilitate the integration of this huge petrochemicals activity in the performance analysis activity.

As Support engineer, you will be required to carry out regular trip in Satorp site (min. 1x/month).

Prior to taking over the position in Saudi Arabia, you will have to spend several weeks with our teams based in Europe, to gain understanding of our Company culture, ways of doing business, as well as Operational guidelines. You will understand the organization of TotalEnergies, especially in the technical field, with the technical expertise Division One Tech. This will also allow you to know better what support TotalEnergies can bring to our SATORP assets. 

After this position you will develop into another position in Europe. This position, based on mutual career assessment, can be in our HQ in Paris, France, or in Brussels, Belgium, or in our One Tech center, or in one of our industrial platforms. Your career will further develop to strengthen your technical expertise or allow you to complete your technical skills with business/ management skills.

Activités

As a Support Engineer, your duties and responsibilities are:

HSE:

  • Participate in regular on-site safety walkabouts.

Industrial performance:

  • Monitor SATORP industrial performance.
  • Lead the analysis of the variable costs from a technical point of view (volume of utilities consumed).
  • Report monthly industrial performances for TotalEnergies internal review.
  • On demand, participate and represent SATORP within TotalEnergies technical committees and networks.
  • Help identify and promote best practices from SATORP to TotalEnergies and from TotalEnergies to SATORP.


Budget and Long-term Plan:

  • Assist SATORP asset manager and Industrial Coordinator to establish a Long-Term Plan each year.
  • Assist SATORP asset manager and Industrial Coordinator to develop each year a detailed budget for the coming year.
  • Projects and new developments.
  • Proposal / contribution to new developments.
  • Attend Quarterly refinery technical committee and adhoc meetings on shutdowns, studies, projects etc.


Petrochemical Plant integration within SATORP:

  • Support Petrochemical integration (Amiral project) for performances analysis.

Profil du candidat

  • You have a degree in engineering or equivalent
  • You have first experience (min 5 years) in the field of Refining / Petrochemical / Oil&Gas
  • You have good interpersonal communication skills and good ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • You can develop short-to-medium-term work activities with good reporting.
  • You speak English fluently.
