About the Role

TotalEnergies Renewables USA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Asset Management to lead the commercial and financial performance of our growing portfolio of renewable energy assets across North America. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of clean energy operations, overseeing a diverse mix of utility-scale and distributed generation projects.

You’ll be at the helm of a high-impact team, driving operational excellence, financial optimization, and strategic stakeholder engagement across solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and wind assets.

The position is the leader of the TotalEnergies Renewables US Asset Management team, responsible for managing the long-term financial and commercial performance of a portfolio of operating renewable assets while maintaining compliance with all contractual, environmental and regulatory obligations. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Asset Management and Operations and works closely with many other departments throughout the US Renewables organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of asset management professionals across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Design and implement scalable organizational structures and processes for asset management.
  • Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Resolve complex commercial and regulatory issues with urgency and precision.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, offtakers, and regulators.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, engineering, finance, legal, and trading teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual, environmental, and regulatory obligations.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance asset profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Stay ahead of market trends in ERCOT, PJM, AESO and other key power markets.
  • Identify and unlock incremental value from existing assets.

Perfil do Candidato

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10–15+ years in the energy industry, with 5+ years in direct management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, or Business (MBA preferred).
  • Experience managing PV, BESS, or wind energy assets.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and performance analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred:

  • Proven success managing large-scale renewable portfolios.
  • Deep understanding of energy project finance (tax equity, debt, joint ventures).
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in key U.S. and Canadian markets.
  • Experience with distributed solar and utility-scale technologies.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-evolving, growth-oriented environment.
