Join our affiliate TotalEnergies Renewables Ibérica in Madrid!

The deployment of stationary batteries (BESS) connected to the transmission and distribution networks of European countries is booming, and represents a major axis of integration of renewable energies within the energy mix. 
These batteries are set to participate in various electricity markets and provide services to maximize their value and usefulness for network managers. 

Within the Flexible Power Integration (FPI) department based in Paris, the BESS team is in charge of developing, building and operating these assets in Europe. The Project Development team is specifically in charge of identifying, qualifying and leading the development of these opportunities. 

Support for the Business Developer in charge of the Paris-based area, you will be integrated into the Business Development teams of TotalEnergies Renewables Iberica (TERIb) in Madrid, where you will provide essential support for the development of stationary batteries in Spain. TERIb currently has a portfolio of more than 4GW of photovoltaic projects under development in Spain. 

As a Business Development Analyst in Renewable Energies, you will contribute to the following missions:

  • Monitoring the development of the current portfolio of standalone BESS projects ;
  • Mapping and ranking the attractiveness of the autonomous communities for the deployment of BESS, taking into account relevant criteria ;
  • Regulatory monitoring of the BESS asset in Spain ; 
  • Formalization of permit processes/procedures and support for securing project land ;
  • Analysis and formalization of the environmental and administrative permit process ;
  • Coordination of the analysis of the Spanish electricity grid to assess the relevant locations for our developments in Spain ;
  • Collaboration with the company's electricity market expert teams to contribute to updates of the country's market studies: understanding the fundamentals and assessing expected revenues 
  • Development of hybrid solutions ;
  • Support on project financing strategy.


Perfil do Candidato

Expected qualifications:
  • Engineering degree, a specialization in Electrical Engineering would be a plus
  • Experience in business development, financial analysis, or a related role within the renewable energy sector is desirable


Technical skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support Business Developer
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks


Soft skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of preparing and delivering high-quality presentations and memos
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support senior management

Computing skills :

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Pack, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of project management software and tools is an advantage
