Perfil do Candidato

  • Minimum Qualification: University Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years post qualification with at least 5 years as a pipeline engineer 
  • Proficiency in MS-Office suites.

Atividades

  • Perform preliminary, basic, and detailed pipeline engineering studies and produce associated deliverables (MTOs, calculations, datasheets, drawings, etc. 
  • Review designs produced by COMPANY or contractors to ensure compliance with COMPANY referential, applicable laws and project specifications. 
  • Prepare and contribute to equipment specifications for procurement purposes. 
  • Review of contractors’ pipeline deliverables to ensure technical quality. 
  • Read and interpret facility engineering drawings and make necessary modifications or recommendations. 
  • Develop procedures and all design supports / specifications required to always maintain readiness of the EPRS (Emergency Pipeline Repair System) 
  • Supports other ECP departments. Field Operations and other entities on pipeline related issues, 
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers of equipment and materials to ensure technical specifications are understood and met. 
  • Support tendering and technical evaluations related to pipeline engineering contractors 
  • Prepare and cross-check relevant procedures, international standards and COMPANY technical specifications for application into design activities.
  • Assist with the selection of laying spread/methods and perform/review installation design analysis for new pipeline system Contributes to Safety Reviews Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), Hazard Identification studies (HAZID) 
  • Participate in Job Risk Assessments (JRA), Constructability reviews and other relevant reviews 

Context & Environment

  • Work location: Based in Port Harcourt or Lagos with regular site visits. Major client is Field Operations (onshore, offshore & deepwater). 
  • Constraints: Inaccuracies and delays in design could result in severe safety issue and production deferment. Client statement of requirements sometimes not detailed and As- built documentations incomplete. Often tight delivery milestones driven by operational needs.
  • Favourable Factors: TotalEnergies Nigeria assets represent technically challenging projects. Numerous contacts and supports within ECP, other entities and HQ
