• 2-3 years previous shipping experience and/or gas and LNG markets is a must
• You demonstrate excellent analytical and numerical skills and ability to manage and analyze large data sets
• Strong attention to detail, organised with reliable time management skills and a methodical approach
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills required to work with a global team
• Ability to work within a deadline driven environment with a strong work ethic and self-motivation
• You are able to prioritize work according to deadlines
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word,
• Power Point & Publisher
• SQL or other programming language knowledge

Activities:

• Primarily revolve around monitoring and analyzing the LNG spot and short-term shipping market to contribute to chartering strategies with same maturity.
• Key tasks include tracking market parameters, developing metrics to identify trends markets and summarizing data.
• Data summary and interpretation: summarize valuable market intelligence on both the commodity (in coordination with trading analyst) and shipping transactions and events with the aim to translate it into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Preparing slide decks for client presentations
• Working on ad-hoc internal and external requests
• Contributing to internal reporting:
  • Analysis of Operational Shipping Costs of the whole Fleet (Long term & Spots) benchmarked with the market
  • Analysis of the Fleet Performances
  • Statistics on Utilisation Rate of the whole Fleet and actual voyage costs, destination, LNG volumes lifted, etc.
  • Keeping updated the Fleet Status table (including baseload fleet and spots)

Purposes:

• Fast paced front office trading environment.
• You will physically join the LNG Chartering desk at the heart of the trading floor.
• You will interact on a daily basis with Spot and Time Charterers and Trading Market Analysts and also on occasion directly with Traders
