Perfil do Candidato

  • Graduate (Bac +5) in business law;  
  • At least 8 years' experience in the energy and/or industry sector with transactional expertise (law firm and/or in-house) - substantial experience in a law firm is a plus.  
  • Fluent in English, French and/or a 3rd language would be an asset (Spanish, German, Mandarin, etc.). 

Atividades


Distributed Generation's legal team is looking for a Solar Projects Senior Lawyer F/M, who will be responsible for the following tasks: 

 

Legal support to the renewable power projects developed by TotalEnergies Renewables DG: 

  • Drafting and negotiation of the related contracts and documents (pre-contracts, shareholder agreements, joint venture agreements, share purchase agreements, bid documentation, guarantees, power purchase agreement, construction contracts, land rights agreements, operation and maintenance contracts, etc.) 
  • Monitoring legal due diligence and tender submission processes and following-up on projects’ construction and operation 
  • Conducting legal feasibility studies (in context of new market entries) and monitoring regulatory risks 
  • Support to internal corporate approval process (internal committees) 
  • Management of external lawyers and monitors legal fees 
  • Supervision of mid-level lawyers, junior lawyers and trainees 


Legal support to DG’s transactions and projects (cross-Hubs): 

  • Assistance on cross-hub legal workstreams (templates, best practices, trainings…) 
  • Legal support for (i) cross-hub client tenders, in coordination with the Marketing & Commercial Performance and the hubs’ teams, and (ii) cross-hub transactions (M&A, joint ventures, farm down, project/ limited recourse portfolio financing) 


Legal tools and policies : 

  • Coordination and contribution to harmonize the legal support for DG projects worldwide 
  • Contribution to the development of appropriate tools for supporting the activity (templates, guidelines, enhancement of know-how, adequate document management systems, etc.); 
  • Control of the hiring, use, quality and cost of external legal counsels; 
  • Implementation a culture of compliance with laws and integrity; 


Litigations and claims: 

  • Legal support for litigations and/or claim management in relation to projects
