Key Responsibilities 

  • Champion HSE Culture: Promote a workplace where Health, Safety, Security, Societal, Environmental, and Occupational matters are at the forefront—Safety for me, for you, for all.
  • Leadership & Coordination: Supervise and coordinate all HSE activities during construction, ensuring compliance with TOTAL and TERUSA HSE policies, procedures, and objectives (MAESTRO), as well as international standards.
  • Performance Oversight: Provide regular updates on project HSE performance, oversee technical HSE, and ensure operational readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Facilitate root cause investigations, conduct site inspections, and monitor contractor compliance with contractual HSE requirements.
  • Data-Driven Action: Establish KPIs, analyze trends, and implement remedial actions when targets are not met.
  • Emergency Response: Coordinate and assist with emergency response activities on site.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate HSE matters to project management and maintain functional links with the TERUSA HSE Division.
  • Documentation & Audits: Supervise area-specific audits, reports, certifications, and permits. Organize necessary audits and inspections at contractor locations.
  • Technical Compliance: Manage regulatory compliance and interface with contractors to verify facility standards.
  • Training & Mentoring: Train, monitor, and coach employees and contractors to uphold HSE principles and standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in project reviews, gather lessons learned, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Project Delivery: Accountable to the Project Director for managing HSE deliverables and KPIs.
  • Ethics & Conduct: Demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding HSE rules, requirements, and the Company Code of Conduct.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a team-oriented environment while working autonomously when needed.

Perfil do Candidato

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Education: Associate degree in a safety-related field (minimum).
  • Experience: At least 10 years in the construction industry; previous solar farm construction experience preferred.
  • Skills & Certifications:
    • Expert knowledge in HSE Management, Principles, and Programs.
    • Incident investigations and root cause analysis (expert level).
    • Electrical Safety (AC/DC) (expert level).
    • OSHA, EPA, Drug & Alcohol regulations (proficient).
    • Safe working practices on construction projects (proficient).
    • Company rules/procedures (proficient).
    • Strong organizational skills and commitment to deadlines.
    • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and communication abilities.
    • Team player with the ability to work independently.
    • Ability to travel to project sites and walk outdoors.  
    • Preferred: CSP Certification and HSE-relevant training.
    • Language: Fluent English required; Spanish is a plus.
