Atividades

The GIS & Research Analyst will support the operations of TotalEnergies Renewables USA’s Solar and Storage Development team by assisting the GIS Manager with geospatial tasks related to real estate acquisition, mineral ownership, environmental avoidance zones, solar layout, and evaluating potential project sites.

GIS Responsibilities:

  • Develop maps and cartographic deliverables, including web maps.
  • Compile project constraints from reports, publicly available data, and land agreements.
  • Plot metes and bounds to verify land ownership.
  • Perform advanced geospatial analyses and utilize geoprocessing tools as required, including raster and LiDAR data.
  • Maintain geospatial databases, update datasets, and adhere to data governance policies.
  • Manage data lifecycle processes, including workflow management and process automation where applicable.
  • Support strategic GIS projects and deliverables, guiding technical and strategic direction.
  • Assist in creating a GIS training plan to familiarize users with key products.

Development Research Responsibilities:

  • Project Evaluation: Assess the feasibility of renewable energy projects by examining site conditions, regulatory requirements, and market potential.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to support project decisions and optimize project design and performance.
  • Market Analysis: Perform market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the renewable energy sector, including Load projects such as data centers.

Perfil do Candidato

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent higher education qualification.
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a GIS or research analyst or equal.
  • GIS Certificate (preferred) 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in GIS software, experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, Google Earth, Enverus (Prism, Rated Power)
  • Advanced skills in GIS/model builder, web map applications.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within cross functional teams.
