 It is about leadership, coordination, teamwork, and execution.  It is having knowledge and experience in storage tank maintenance and being able to work with stakeholders to ensure the work is completed in a timely fashion.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

•Requires 5 years Planning or Supervisor experience related to tank construction, repair, and cleaning with knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in tank work.

•Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Project proficient.

•SAP work order management system proficient.

•Knowledge of API 650 and 653 preferred.

•Knowledge of ASME B31.3 preferred.

•Knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to tank repairs and construction.

•Ability to apply technical knowledge to determine equipment problems and appropriate solutions in swiftly developing job plans.

•Ability to perform basic mathematical and trigonometric computations involved in estimating, purchasing and drafting.

•Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal form.

•Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other personnel including operators, vendors, contractors, subordinates, peers and superiors.

•Ability to read, interpret and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports and manuals.

•Knowledge of contract administration, purchasing procedures and guidelines.

•Ability to work extended or off-schedule hours when required by the job.

Atividades


RESPONSIBILITIES 

•Develop work plans for tank construction and maintenance jobs with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling, assignment and execution of tank-related maintenance work. 

•Create / manage tank budgets for current and future work. Includes generating tank budget reports and leading bi-weekly tank budget / status meeting. 

•Create, use, and maintain plant history and other technical files to include information in current job plans to anticipate and avoid job delays. 

•Plan / coordinate monthly dock soundings and yearly dock dredging. 

•Procure and stage materials and tools as needed to efficiently complete field execution. 

•Incorporate scopes of work with contractual terms and conditions to develop bid packages. 

•Stay familiar with HSE rules and regulations. Incorporate safety, environmental and rescue into planned jobs. 

•Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel to allow them to more efficiently complete their work.

•Make field inspections and determine appropriate job work scopes. •Develop electronic schedules for larger routine and major maintenance work. 

•Provide feedback to Technical on job packages provided. Point out areas of improvement and cost reduction possibilities. Provide suggestions for improvement. 

•Provide drawings as necessary for “replacement in kind” of equipment. 

•Provide communication to all pertinent departments about ongoing and future work. 

•Develop good working relationships with companies with whom we do business. 

•Weekend duty approximately three times a year.

Context & Environment

This role is based at the Port Arthur Platform within the Maintenance Planning Department.

Planners use mechanical skills and need a good understanding of the plant systems and equipment to assess equipment problems correctly and develop appropriate solutions quickly, and to determine appropriate skill levels of crafts to assign. Planners must be able to estimate reasonable time requirements for the execution of job plans. Planners must be able to read schematics, drawings and manuals. Planners must be able to put together the elements of planned work including work scopes, materials, tools, time and craft estimates and other requirements together into a coherent job plan. Planners must be able to put together work orders into proper schedule allocations. Planners help coordinate work involving more than one craft and be able to communicate and maintain extremely effective working relationships with all levels of plant personnel and 3rd party contractors.
