Perfil do Candidato

  • Completion of junior year in a business related Bachelor’s degree program.
  • Participation in Program for Excellence in Sales preferred.
  • Based locally in the Houston area during the program.
  • Must demonstrate capability to work in a self-directed environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and outgoing personality needed to work smoothly between multiple business functions.
  • Experience handling data and using Word, Excel and Powerpoint to create reports and presentations is important.

Atividades

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Product Training – coordinated through the Technical Center.   Learn basics of each of the polymer product lines including polypropylene, polystyrene, polylactic acid, and recycled plastics
  • Account Coordination – job shadowing and manage accounts if feasible with the target of learning SAP systems, customer setup, location setup, order processing, shipping materials for orders
  • Demand Planning – job shadowing to become familiar with forecast review, handling un-forecasted orders, emergency bulk trucking, production wheels, packaging for both polypropylene and polystyrene
  • Logistics – job shadowing and assist as needed in supply chain operations and sourcing strategy.  Participate in commercial discussions with logistics providers where possible. 
  • Price Coordination and Sales Business Analysis – job shadowing and provide assistance as needed for Price Coordinator and Sales Business Analyst
  • Sales – Distribution and Field Sales.  Assist in sales of polypropylene scrap and off-grade.  Job shadowing with local and field account managers on calls to Polymers customers.  Assist in monthly price spreadsheet preparation and contract preparation.

Context & Environment

The Polymers division is looking for a student in his/her senior year who is pursuing a sales or marketing degree. This internship will give the candidate the opportunity to lean and be knowledgeable of the full range of products manufactured at sold by TotalEnergies Polymers group.  It will also give the candidate the opportunity to understand the roles and functions of account coordination, demand planning, scheduling, supply chain/logistics and sales.
