Context & Environment

  • Back up to Operation Lead and Cash Management and Governance Specialist
  • Provide regular project financing performance updates and reporting to the Project leadership team
  • Responsible for the daily project finance operations, direction-setting and budget/resource approvals in alignment with project and corporate goals
  • Oversee the general compliance of the Operator, project SPEs and Concessionaires with the provisions and obligations under the finance and security agreements.

Activiteiten

The Corporate Finance Specialist position is responsible for:

  • The Financial/Accounting Analyst shall be responsible for the following principle activities; · Responsible for daily project finance operations, direction
  • Setting and budget/resource approvals in alignment with project and corporate goals ·
  • Establish and manage positive and trusted relationships with all
  • Finance Parties (Loan Facility Lenders, Loan Facility Agents, Intercreditor Agent and Independent Consultants) and organizes all-party lender meetings
  • when needed
  • Provide regular project financing performance updates and reporting to the Project leadership team · General management and governance of the Offshore Borrower Entity (resources, budget, UAE office management and corporate governance)
  • Identify and manage project finance resource needs, performance, issues, risks and develop mitigations
  • Promote a positive learning environment that enables teamwork, collaboration,
  • effective work behaviors and where lessons are successfully applied
  • Organize the lender due diligence process
  • Consult with functional teams, advisors,
  • and partners on negotiating strategies and positions
  • Manage the project financing funding plan ($16 billion) and timeline
  • Monitor actual, committed and forecasted eligible procurement content from Contractors to maximize the debt utilization of tied ECA loan facilities
  • Arrange ad-hoc and periodic review meetings with Contractors, Loan Facility Lenders and Agents    Compliance
  • Oversee the general compliance of the Operator, project SPEs and Concessionaires with the provisions and obligations under the finance and security agreements.
  • Analyze impacts of changes in project execution on the project requirements under the finance agreements and consult with Counsels, Finance Parties and Independent Consultants
  • Initiate and manage waiver requests to the Intercreditor Agent in case of temporary non-compliance issues to avoid events of default Reporting to Lenders
  • Oversee the drafting, review, validation and timely distribution of Project reports (Construction, Environmental & Social, Security, Operations) to the Finance parties and Independent Consultants
  • Participate to Lender or Independent Consultant desktop due diligence review and/or site visits
  • Negotiate engagement letter terms and conditions and renewals for the various Independent Consultants in collaboration with Contracts & Procurement Economics
  • Update lender financial models when required under the finance agreements and monitor debt service coverage ratios
  • Develop and maintain an internal borrower financial model that is used for Project budgeting and scenario planning  
  • Owner of the Project financing cost multi-year budget and funding plan and
  • provides regular project finance performance updates to the senior leadership team and Concessionaires.

Profiel kandidaat

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or Auditing or similar areas
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Finance or Accounting, with a strong background of Treasury/Cash Management required preferably in a Mining or Oil and Gas environment
  • Prior experience with SAP is an added advantage
  • Prior experience in developing complex financial models and performing economic analysis, advanced Excel, analytical and time management skills required
  • Prior experience on large capital projects during construction phase and familiar with EPC contract management concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to produce qualitative and structured written reports to senior audience and to effectively communicate with banks, advisors, consultants, and senior leadership and present to large audiences
  • Strong Lateral thinking skills. Risk management Anti fraud Anit money laundering (AML) Know your client (KYC), Report writing and contract management skills
  • Loan origination, utilization, reporting and compliance experience
  • Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal, analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including vendors
  • Ability to multi-task between different stages of the cash management function  
  • A thorough knowledge of all Bank products and services  
  • Strong Attention to details
