This experience will allow you to apply your academic knowledge, develop key industry skills, and contribute to the ongoing energy transition.

During your apprenticeship, you will alternate between IFP School (Rueil-Malmaison, 92) and our site located in Palaiseau (91) .

By joining the teams of the Integrated Power Modeling (IPM) department, you may be involved in the following (non‑exhaustive list of examples):

• Apply internally developed tools and algorithms to real-world cases and demonstrate their added value to operational units compared to existing methods.
• Participate in the construction, analysis, and simulation of multi-service value optimization economic models for renewable assets (wind, solar with or without storage).
  This includes mapping existing and emerging models, developing comparative business plans for different market scenarios and system service price trajectories, building an internal tool to compare revenues, and providing strategic recommendations on the business models to prioritize for future projects.

Education

_You hold an engineering degree, or an equivalent diploma issued by a university or foreign school — Bac+4 or Bac+5 level.

Expected Experience

_You have initial experience through an internship and/or apprenticeship in the energy sector (electricity or renewables, oil & gas) or in other related industrial fields.
_ International experience is appreciated.

Skills

_Minimum required English level: B2+ according to the CEFR. Proof or a test result will be requested by the school (TOEIC 850, IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 86, Cambridge 175).

_Analytical skills

_Proficiency in advanced Excel – VBA – Deep Learning – Machine Learning

_Proficiency in Python (modelling, simulation tools, scenario analysis)

_Ability to build and use simulation models

_Knowledge of renewable energy business models and system services is a plus.
