Context & Environment

At TotalEnergies, we offer engineering students in their fourth or fifth year (Bac+4/Bac+5) who wish to prepare for one of the following IFP School programs—Energy and Markets, Electricity Management and Digital, Energy and Processes, Petroleum Engineering and Project Development, or Energy and Products—the opportunity to join us on an apprenticeship.
This experience will allow you to apply your academic knowledge, develop key industry skills, and contribute to the ongoing energy transition.

Are you preparing to join the Petroleum Engineering and Project Development cycle at IFP School in Rueil-Malmaison?

During your apprenticeship, you will alternate between IFP School (Rueil-Malmaison) and one of our TotalEnergies sites, either at the Jean Féger Scientific and Technical Center (CSTJF) in Pau (64) or Paris La Défense (92).

Join a dynamic and innovative team to develop your skills and contribute to ambitious projects.

Joining TotalEnergies means joining a global multi-energy company involved in the production and supply of all forms of energy: oil and biofuels, natural gas and green gases, renewables, and electricity.

Activiteiten

By joining our teams, you may be involved in the following tasks (non-exhaustive list across multiple departments):

  • Develop correlation tools between key production parameters of wells/reservoirs, enabling a simple analogy-based approach for recommending tubing sizes and dimensioning parameters (WHT, WHP).
  • Conduct risk mapping for drilling operations, update risk assessments, and support the preparation and monitoring of action plans to reduce risks to acceptable levels.
  • Participate in the analysis and structuring of the Drilling & Wells division: gain an understanding of its operations, contribute to defining strategic orientations, structure the roadmap, and support project advancement. Demonstrate agility and analytical perspective to address organizational, operational, and industrial challenges.
  • Contribute to the implementation and deployment of the project “Standardize and digitalize cost monitoring from studies to execution.” This includes establishing a standardized structure for drilling cost tracking and developing the common tool used to prepare AFEs (Authorizations For Expenditure), cost sheets, and cost reporting.

Application Procedure (Mandatory)

To ensure your application is reviewed, the following two steps are required:

  1. Apply to this TotalEnergies apprenticeship position,
  2. Submit an application file on the IFP School platform, via the “Online Application” link available on the school’s website Home | IFP School.

Applications without an IFP School file cannot be considered.
Application deadline: April 15, 2026. Applications received after this date will not be reviewed.
