The Business Analyst & Support plays a key role in operational activities related to the electricity markets in Belgium and Europe. The position requires strong knowledge of physical and financial flows, a solid understanding of regulatory constraints, and a good grasp of electricity market mechanisms.

The main objective of the role is to ensure full alignment between information systems and business needs, while contributing to operational performance and regulatory compliance.

1. Business Analysis & Specifications

• Gather and formalize Dispatching requirements.
• Draft functional specifications for IT teams.
• Ensure consistency between business processes and information system evolutions.

2. Project Management

• Monitor project progress and coordinate activities with development teams.
• Participate in functional testing phases.
• Support operational teams during regulatory changes or the implementation of new projects.
• Provide support during tool updates and production rollouts.

3. Cross-Functional Contribution

• Collaborate closely with the Energy Data Management team, particularly regarding performance monitoring and data quality.
• Work alongside IT teams to ensure the evolution and reliability of Dispatching tools.
• Contribute to regulatory monitoring of electricity markets.
• Coordinate with the Optimization and Day-Ahead & Intraday Trading teams based in Paris and Geneva.

Education

• Master’s degree in Economics or Finance with a specialization in Energy
  or
• Engineering degree with an Energy specialization

• Strong motivation for the energy sector, with a particular interest in electricity trading
