Context & Environment

REN Business Unit:

REN is Total Energies’ Division in charge of the development, construction, O&M, asset management and financing of renewable projects : large and small scale (distributed generation) solar, onshore and offshore wind, off-grid energy, storage.

Its strategic objective is to accumulate 35 GW by 2025, 100 GW of operational renewables by 2030 (end of April 2023 baseline: 18,2 GW)

Given this ambitious growth agenda, the rapid pace of operations, and the regular changes, agility and fast-learning are imperatives:

Activiteiten

    Ensuring of full and reliable information about the financial state, performance, and changes in Mirny financial position.

    Ensuring of the organization of accounting, including the availability of the approved internal documents (i.e. Accounting Policy) that regulate the procedure for reflecting the operations conducted by the TTE in Mirny’s accounts.

    Ensuring accurate and timely operation of all daily general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, T&L. FA, taxes and cash management processes.

    Organization of keeping Mirny’s primary documents, control over the compliance with the requirements of the laws of the RoK, issue of electronic tax invoices (ETI);

    Organization of control over the collection, keeping & archiving of the originals of all [primary documents, registers of accounts in hard copy and/or on electronic media.

    Collection and archiving of primary documents from contractors in accordance with the requirements of the laws of the RoK and the applicable practice.

    Monitoring of changes in the accounting laws, as well as initiation of changes in the accounting system and introduction of controls.

    Organization of control over the compliance of reflection of accounting records upon occurrence of new and/or disputable and/or non-standard operations in the RoK;

    Production and approval of financial, statistical and other statements in compliance with the requirements of the laws of the RoK;

    Supervising the work of external accounting consultants; 

    Provision of additional reports on the Project’s operation (as requested);

    Participation in closing of the reporting period and in the budgeting process;

    Involvement in and organization of taking inventory of assets and liabilities in accordance with the requirements of the laws of the RoK;

    Participation in approval of draft contracts with non-resident legal entities and other contractors;

    Creation and support of constructive relations with clients & suppliers; building of mutual relations with other subdivisions of the company; provision of support in the collection and transfer of necessary information between subdivisions.

    Deep involvement in any internal/external audit, mitigate company risks through a proper process set up and drive resolution of findings in compliance with the relevant policies and procedure, legislation.

    Work together with the Director Finance, Financial Analysts, HR & Administration and Regional Controllers and Leaders, as well as with the regional teams achieving strategic goals.

    Keep track of team’s spend and a list of activities performed with a biz split, be able to explain and changes and quickly arrange back up, ensure sustainability of team, be a coach and bear a formal responsibility for accuracy of accounting books as it is required by the country legislation


Profiel kandidaat

Qualifications/Experience

    Higher education in the specialty:

    Economics, Finance, Accounting 

    Taxes and fiscal issues 

    work experience in tax and accounting for 15 years with a similar position for at least 3 years

    Experience of work in Samruk-Kazyna. sovereign wealth fund of Kazakhstan companies

    Deep knowledge in application of International Financial Report Standards, particularly: IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IAS 16, IAS 23, IAS 37, IAS 20, IAS 24, IAS 32

    Professional certifications must: DipFR and/or ACCA ongoing/completed

    Practical knowledge and skills in Project Finance: Financial Model, Covenants


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Clear understanding of business needs in the areas of financial reporting, general accounting, tax reporting, legal entity management, payroll admin services, etc.

    Knowledge of the operation of the Bank-Client system

    Higher financial/economic education

    Knowledge of MS Office programs

    Knowledge of programs 1 C Accounting

    Languages: English, Russian, Kazakh

    Strong analytical ability

    Problem solving skills

    Organizational skills and the ability to use them effectively

    Result oriented

    High level of initiative and continuous process improvement
