Total Energies signed major agreements covering several projects in the Basra region, designed to enhance the development of Iraq’s natural resources and to improve the country’s electricity supply. AGUP Phase 1 Project aims to take over the existing Ratawi asset and maximize the production until the start-up of a new plant (CPF2), expected in 2026 at the earliest. This is a fast-track project and schedule-oriented Design to enhance the production.
The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including: Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24”, ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability (dated 2008); flaring elimination by Q1 2025 and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities.
HSE activities:
• Support and enforce project guidelines and HSE objectives.
• Attend HSE meetings and training when necessary.
• Participate in Job Safety Analysis, make suggestions, stop dangerous situations, and report anomalies and dangerous acts.
Activities in several technical disciplines: Pipeline mainly but also earthworks, civil engineering, building, piping, structure, electrical, and instrumentation:
• Supervise and control the selected Contractor’s to carry out the Pipeline and Flowlines works in their premises in prefabrication and under construction on the Sites.
• Ensure the operational management of the Works Contract, logistics, setting up the site, interface with the Operator. Prepare operations in several disciplines.
• Ensure the Construction Engineering on behalf of the Client, check that carried out by the Contractor, with the constant concern for compliance with the Project Budget and Schedule.
• Ensure the proper execution of the works in compliance with HSE procedures, technical specifications, budgets, and schedules,
• Optimize and follow the work schedules, to do this check the good organization of the logistics and the Contractor's site,
• Ensure good coordination / interface between the Site (the Contractor and the Operator) and the Business Manager and the various entities involved in the project (the Inspection, Topography, Logistics departments, the Commissioning team, the organizations officials for the events, etc.),
• Check the procedures and task sheets of the Companies, participate, or control the risk analyses, help in the preparation / check the work permits,
• Check the technical information provided by the Contractor and its consistency,
• Anticipate supplies for the smooth running of the site. (Verification of equipment or consumables provided by TEPRH.
• May be required to perform the function of Operational Manager, in the Work Permit procedure,
• Anticipate all potential problems, propose, if necessary, alternative "practical" solutions,
• Ensure the receipt, control, and transmission of all Contractors' documents,
• Establish the daily report (progress of work, number of people, highlights, etc.)
• Participate in periodic meetings, (preparation or control of meeting minutes),
• Validate the acceptance of the works with the Construction Manager and the Contractors.
• Substitute for the Contractor when it becomes essential for the success of the Project.
