The IMS Division of Hutchinson is a leading player in the design and manufacturing of high value-added technical solutions for demanding industrial markets worldwide.

Operating across multiple production sites in Europe, North Africa, Asia and the Americas, the Division relies on the expertise of nearly 1,400 employees to support its customers’ growth and deliver sustainable performance.

As part of its continued development, the IMS Division is seeking a Controlling & Costing Director.

Reporting directly to the EVP Division and serving as a member of the Division Management Committee, you will play a pivotal role in steering the Division’s financial performance. As a strategic business partner to executive leadership, you will ensure the reliability of financial information, support key business decisions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Division’s economic performance.

You will oversee the Controlling and Costing activities for the Chemillé, Seifhennersdorf and Sousse sites, while also providing functional support to the development of business activities in Casablanca, Ensenada and Suzhou.

 

Your Role

Reporting to the EVP Division and serving as a member of the Management Committee, you will lead all Controlling and Costing activities across the IMS Division within an international multisite industrial environment.

Working closely with Plant Managers, Site Controllers, Group Functional Leaders and Corporate Finance teams, you will actively contribute to the Division’s financial performance and long-term profitability.

You will lead and develop the Controlling & Costing organization, promoting a culture of operational excellence, financial discipline and continuous improvement.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include the following:

Financial Performance Management

  • Lead the Division’s financial management processes, including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, monthly reporting and financial closings.
  • Consolidate, analyze and challenge financial results and forecasts across all sites.
  • Provide Executive Management with robust financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and drive profitability enhancement initiatives.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency and reliability of financial reporting submitted to the Group.

Multisite Controlling Leadership

  • Ensure consistent application of Group financial policies and controlling standards across all sites.
  • Functionally coordinate and support site controllers throughout the Division.
  • Partner with operational teams to achieve financial and business objectives.
  • Continuously improve performance management processes and financial governance practices.

Costing & Business Case Management

  • Lead the Division Costing team.
  • Ensure the accuracy of product costing and the harmonization of costing methodologies across sites.
  • Validate financial assumptions supporting industrial and strategic projects.
  • Coordinate, challenge and approve business cases related to capital investments, transfers of work, make-or-buy decisions and business development initiatives.
  • Deliver robust and comparable financial evaluations to support management decision-making.

Investments, Internal Control & Cash Management

  • Participate in the evaluation, prioritization and monitoring of investment projects.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Group’s internal control requirements.
  • Contribute to the identification and mitigation of financial risks across the Division.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at optimizing working capital, inventories and cash flow generation.
  • Ensure compliance with Group accounting, financial and governance standards.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, coach and develop the Division’s Controlling and Costing teams.
  • Foster collaboration between sites and encourage the sharing of best practices.
  • Support the recruitment, development and succession planning of Finance talents across the Division.
  • Promote a strong Health, Safety and Environment culture and actively support the “Zero Accident” objective.

 

Your Profile

With a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred), you have at least 10 years of experience in Finance, Controlling or Financial Leadership roles within an international multisite industrial environment.

You have demonstrated success working in complex matrix organizations and partnering closely with both operational and corporate stakeholders.

You bring the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Strong expertise in industrial controlling, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Proven experience in investment analysis and capital expenditure management.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS, consolidation processes and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience driving financial process standardization across multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership, influencing and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • High level of integrity, autonomy, resilience and results orientation.

Fluent English is required.

Management Committee position with regular travel across the Division’s sites.
