Context & Environment

The Absheron gas-condensate field is located in the Caspian Sea, 500 meters deep, about 100 km southeast of Baku. The project aims to supply natural gas 

Activiteiten

  • In-Country Coordination: Manage the in-country team supporting the Absheron FEED project activities. This includes coordinating with the FEED Manager and specialists to identify optimal solutions for development opportunities, ensuring alignment with project goals, and maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Interface Management: Manage all third-party interfaces and negotiations for the project, tie-ins technical and commercial terms to ensure feasibility to interface is possible. Build and maintain relationships with counterparts, partners, and suppliers, and progress technical studies for design tie-ins with third-party facilities in a timely manner. Work closely with the Onshore and Offshore Package Managers to identify potential roadblocks, optimize planning, and identify areas of collaboration. Maintain interaction with key internal and stakeholders (partners, counterparts, suppliers, third-party facilities, engineering teams, construction teams, operations teams, logistics providers, vessel operator, regulatory authorities, local government officials, community representatives, etc). Keep regular meetings, progress reviews, and proactive problem-solving are essential to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Reporting: Ensure adequate and timely reporting of project progress, concerns, and milestones. This includes preparing detailed reports for management, stakeholders, and partners, and addressing any issues that may arise promptly.
  • HR: Manage recruitment agencies for technical contractors and address HR needs for third-party contracting companies and technical leads.
  • Planning: Follow project planning schedules to ensure deadlines are met, integrate third-party contractors' planning into the project plan, and review planning updates with contractors regularly.
  • Document Control: Manage the platform for sharing documentation between partners and contractors, and oversee contract systems, distribution, and validation processes.
  • Vessel Negotiation: Manage vessel availability, negotiate scheduling and priorities with vessel supplier.
  • Permitting: Supervise the permitting process, obtain required government approvals, and interact with relevant stakeholders to achieve collaboration. Participate in and support validation processes (internal and external) and engage with key stakeholders (Management, authorities, Partners, etc.). This includes ensuring that all project activities meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate Early Works: The early works for the project include preparing the Central Processing Facility (CPF) site. This phase also involves securing necessary permits and approvals, coordinating with local stakeholders, and establishing key infrastructure such as access roads and temporary facilities. Additionally, it includes mobilizing construction equipment and personnel, and scheduling construction vessels to align with the study results
  • HSEpreparation of the ESIA and performing detailed environmental studies, Implementation of the HSE culture and rules in the contracts and team, etc.

Profiel kandidaat

  • Minimum Education: Engineer/ Master Engineering degree or other relevant and recognized qualification.
  • Minimum Experience: 15+ years proven international project management experience in major oil and gas industries. Experience at the projects operated by TotalEnergies is a big plus  
  • Strong technical and business competencies including but not limited to management of industrial projects, risk management, procurement strategy development, project costs estimates, industrial and technological process
  • Demonstrated experience in leading onshore hydrocarbon field development projects.
  • Problem-solving and management skills
  • Team spirit, and a focus on profit optimization.
  • Be attentive to project needs and contribute to processes improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including people-management, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to recruit staff and monitor performance
