Profiel kandidaat

  • PhD in biochemistry, microbiology, microbial engineering or biotechnology
  • Motivation to work in applied fields which have an industrial purpose.
  • Good level in French and English.

Activiteiten

The production of biofuels and sustainable bioproducts constitutes one of the major axes of the strategy to achieve the objective of carbon neutrality by 2050, but to do this, many technological challenges will have to be investigated. In 2018, TotalEnergies created biotechnology laboratories hosted in the OT-R&D-Biofuels program at the Solaize Research Center (CRES), with the aim of supporting ambitious and innovative R&D projects in the field of biofuels, bioproducts, and polymers. These laboratories need a Post-doctoral R&D researcherIdentification, production and use of enzymes for the conversion and/or valorization of target molecules. 

The position lasts 1 year, renewable once. 

As part of your missions, you will be required to: 

• Scientific responsibilities: 


  • Design, execute and analyze scientific experiments to meet the needs of the Company in the biotechnology field, in particular, research, production and use of enzymes allowing the conversion and/or valorization of target molecules and more particularly enzymes allowing the degradation of polymers.
  • Design, execute and analyze scientific experiments to optimize the production of biomolecules by microorganisms (bacteria and/or yeasts).
  • Develop and optimize conditions to improve productivity, production costs and the carbon footprint of these processes.
  • Participate in the development of methods on the laboratory's analytical platform (HPLC, GC, MS, others), to detect, identify, quantify the products generated.
  • Responsible for data analysis, report writing and presentation of scientific results.
  • Ensure documentary monitoring activities on the studied projects.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of expertise and competences in biochemistry at TotalEnergies.

 

  • Project management:

  • To be the “biochemistry” correspondent for several TotalEnergies projects.
  • Participate and organize meetings for the implementation of new projects.
  • Ensure that the experimental plan and the depth of research are well aligned with the project managers.
  • Contact other platforms if necessary.
  • Participate and organize project monitoring/progress meetings.
  • Contribute to the daily management of the laboratory's operations: orders, supplier management, equipment, etc.
