Activités

With the continued expansion and complexity of assets within the TotalEnergies Renewables USA LLC organization, the business is seeking an Operations Accounting Manager to support the accounting function of the operating, development and construction assets. Key Responsibilities Include:

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and Mentor: Lead a team of 3-4 analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate maintenance of the books for over 60 entities, managing billions of dollars in deployed capital.
  • Review and Oversight: Conduct thorough reviews of monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Oversee comprehensive data analysis and reporting efforts to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization, driving informed decision-making. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor financial asset performance metrics, analyzing monthly fluctuations and variances to budget, and providing insights to senior management. 
  • Process Development & Standardization: Develop and maintain robust accounting processes, internal controls, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and financial integrity.

Financial Management

  • Reporting Support: Facilitate the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to banks and investors for each asset. 
  • Audit Oversight: Oversee the execution of 7+ standalone tax equity audits, coordinating with external auditors and internal teams to ensure compliance and resolve any findings promptly. 
  • Documentation and Resolution: Compile and present detailed audit documentation, addressing and resolving audit findings efficiently to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Project Status: Establish and lead recurring meetings to discuss project status, review receivables and commitments, and cash flow

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Primary Finance Department Contact: Develop a working knowledge of each entity’s business operations and act as the primary Finance Department contact for the project companies.
  • Operational Coordination: Collaborate with structured finance, treasury, tax, construction, procurement, and accounts payable teams to address and resolve operational and financial issues.
  • Communication Facilitation: Foster clear and effective communication across departments to streamline financial processes and enhance interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions to support their objectives.

Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and automation, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement new accounting software and tools to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay current with relevant accounting standards, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the organization maintains best-in-class financial operations.

Profil du candidat

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field, CPA preferred. 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity; At least 2-3 years public accounting experience, Big 4 preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong background in technical accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a large or complex organization. 
  • Must have high level interpersonal skills and be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated, with the decisiveness and flexibility necessary to operate successfully in a changing, rapid-growth, and hands-on environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
