Activités

As the Junior Lead Buyer, you will have an overall responsibility for preparing, negotiating, and issuing contracts in respect of Company rules, including HSE rules, internal procedures, and applicable legislation. Working together with a diverse team, you will be the focal point in tendering activities with the goal of awarding contracts for required services by the business. 

  • You will conduct market intelligence activities to ensure the Company has proper benchmarks for related categories. 
  • You will ensure that both technical and commercial optimization are applied in any contracting strategy by applying thorough scope demand management, standardized specifications, and cost consciousness. 
  • Additionally, you will liaise with other affiliates globally and TOTAL Group Procurement (TGP) to ensure optimization of value by leveraging best practices and economies of scale. 
  • You will work with internal stakeholders to ensure optimum stock strategy is included in the contract for relevant categories and organize and facilitate Contract Management activities to ensure the Contractor is achieving HSE, technical, and commercial objectives as defined in the contract. 
  • You will present cases to the C&P Manager and/or senior management for validation and ensure the administration, filing, and update of all documents in SAP or the central drive. Ensuring that all approvals, justifications, and circulation forms are filed in line with the applicable procedures is also part of your role.

Profil du candidat

For effective and efficient procurement, it is important that you demonstrate personal commitment to the Company’s HSE Policy. This position calls for a basic understanding of contract terms and conditions, strong negotiation skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Therefore, attention to detail and a commitment to compliance are key in ensuring successful contract management.

 

Your background:

  • University degree in Business, Procurement, Law, Engineering, or a relevant business area.
  • Some experience with the creation of contracts or relevant operational experience in the application/use of service contracts.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of procurement processes.
  • General understanding of the oil and gas industry.
  • Able to negotiate contractual conditions and rates.
  • Good communication skills combined with fluent English in both speech and writing.
