Contexto y entorno

The Land Analyst position provides analytical and administrative support for both onshore and offshore assets and plays a key role in maintaining leasehold interests, monitoring obligations, advancing development activities, and facilitating communication between internal stakeholders and external parties.


 Activities:

  • Maintain and administer land records, lease inventories, ownership data, and contractual obligations for assigned assets.
  • Monitor lease maintenance requirements, rental obligations, continuous development provisions, drilling commitments, and expiration dates to ensure preservation of Company land rights.
  • Prepare and manage rental, renewal, and expiration calendars and coordinate recommendations with Land and Asset teams.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Treasury to facilitate timely payments, billing reconciliations, and partner invoicing.
  • Review and maintain lease agreements, title documents, title opinions, division orders, joint operating agreements, and other land-related records.
  • Assist in determining ownership interests, working interests, and revenue interests associated with drilling and development activities.
  • Support regulatory filings and reporting requirements with applicable federal, state, and offshore regulatory agencies as required.
  • Generate land reports and analyses for management, operations, business development, and joint venture partners.
  • Support acquisition and divestiture projects, lease sales, due diligence activities, and special land projects.
  • Coordinate with Land, Legal, Operations, and external stakeholders to resolve ownership, contractual, and administrative issues.
  • Maintain data integrity within land management systems and associated databases.

Actividades

The Land Analyst supports the administration, maintenance, reporting, and protection of the Company's land assets and contractual rights. Working closely with Land, Operations, Subsurface, Finance, Business Development, Legal, and joint venture partners, the individual will ensure accurate record keeping, lease maintenance, compliance monitoring, ownership reporting, and fulfillment of contractual obligations.


Perfil del candidato

Education/Experience:

  • 5+ years of oil and gas land, land administration, or land analyst experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy Management, Petroleum Land Management, or a related discipline preferred.

Skills:

  • Experience supporting onshore shale/unconventional resource development; offshore Gulf of America experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of oil and gas leases, title documentation, ownership reporting, lease maintenance, and land administration practices.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, divestitures, due diligence projects, and other land-related transactions.
  • Experience using LandVantage or similar land management software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
