Purpose: 

The position is part of TotalEnergies’ financial asset management team, responsible for managing the long-term financial

performance and compliance of a portfolio of commercial and utility scale solar and storage assets. The position will work closely

with key internal and external stakeholders to manage the commercial, contractual, regulatory, and reporting obligations of the

assigned projects to ensure compliance and maximize return on investment for the projects' investors.

Mission:

 is to optimize technical and financial performance while controlling risks. The US DG financial Asset Management team reports to the VP

of Asset Management and O&M in the US and supports the US Distributed Generation business, under the global DG and

Renewables division. Primary project types include commercial scale rooftops, carports, and ground mounted solar and storage

typically, with behind the meter interconnections. Focus is on PPA and tax equity-financed deals during the operations phase.

Actividades

 Key Responsibilities

  • Associates may be assigned to lead 2-3 financing funds or portfolios of projects along with other initiatives to support the team
  • Monitoring of project level profit & loss (P&L) activities to ensure that projects are delivering expected financial returns
  • Coordinating closely with accounting team to ensure monthly accruals, GL entries, and internal reporting are competed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Administering all project level financing agreements including execution of construction loan draws, lease payments and investor cash distributions
  • Overseeing fulfilment and compliance of all project-level contracts including the PPA, LGIA, O&M, EPC and financing agreements
  • Managing relationships with key project level stakeholders including cash and tax equity investors, offtakers, contractors and various regulatory bodies
  • Supporting cross-functional teams in resolution of material issues affecting assigned assets (e.g. commercial disputes, warranty claims, environmental or regulatory violations)
  • Monitoring and driving PV plant and storage operational performance by working closely with the operations team to identify and prioritize improvement initiatives
  • Overseeing project level compliance with all regulatory and environmental requirements, ensuring that all filings are completed accurately and on-time
  • Ensuring the management framework developed by the Asset Management team is implemented consistently across all projects in assigned portfolio
  • Serving as the operational phase "Program Manager" for incentives and Renewable Energy Credit (REC) programs, including administering accounts in WREGIS, GATS, NEPOOL, etc., preparing and submitting reporting, and liaising with external buyers and/or TotalEnergies’ trading group to execute transactions, among other activities

Perfil del candidato

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, Accounting, or other related field. 
  • At least 2-4+ years of related experience in renewable energy development, operations, or finance OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience.
  • Experience in asset management, project finance, or project development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, especially advanced Excel.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and strong work ethic with the ability to proactively manage diverse relationships and multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, growing company.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to work closely with members of different business groups and functions of a global company at all levels.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, solar markets and related regulatory issues.
  • Based in Austin, Texas.
