Contexto y entorno

The position covers multiple data centers, servers and systems and the incumbent will be part of a multi-dimensional team with experience in multiple fields offering opportunity for learning and growth while actively participating on the construction of one of the largest LNG projects in Africa. Whilst the position will be based in Maputo the incumbent will be required to Travel to cover all other TEPMA1 office locations for both Mozambique and the GPI scope.

Actividades

Servers and Data Center management

  • Architect and maintain Scalable, secure on-premises and cloud infrastructure
  • Own and manage core systems such as but not limited to virtual and physical servers, Storage, backup, replication
  • Ensure the performance, availability, reliability and security of the core Critical IT systems & Infrastructure
  • Design backup, disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for both corporate and industrial environments
  • Define and enforce infrastructure standards and best practices as to privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to the infrastructure roadmap and capacity planning through the anticipation of the technical needs and growth challenges
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and correct hardware and software issues on servers. Escalate incidents as necessary.
  • Lead and own systems upgrades, installations, configurations, patching, hardening & vulnerability remediation
  • Manage and administrate the Cloud computing, Windows and Linux or Mac systems (Anticipate, mitigate, troubleshoot, and correct resolve hardware or software issues)
  • Manage the physical environment of the data centers including cable management, documentation, labeling, and configuration of KVM switching for console and remote access
  • Lead incident response and customer communication during systems outages
  • Manage the active directory pertaining to user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices and IT Policies
  • Knowledge of SQL server, Oracle, windows clustering, domain controller setup, and group policy
  • Mentor Junior Engineers and review technical work

Customer Support

  • Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line ITS customer support for hardware, software and systems and act as an escalation point high-impact incidents
  • Coordinate with the different ITS functions the implementation of desktop and server systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.
  • Ensure the proper handling on onboarding processes, accesses, credentials and both user and company’s data
  • Ensure the Improvement of the support process, service quality & user satisfaction
  • Ensure CMDB’s data reliability and accuracy for all listed hardware and systems
  • Provide management with written and verbal presentations and with timely and accurate status reports and KPI’s

Perfil del candidato

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or any IT related field. Server administration Certificates will be an advantage;
  • Minimum 6 year work experience in Server Administration, Storage Administration, IT infrastructure Installation and administration, Network Administration or customer support;
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems and cloud computing skills & Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITSM processes;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
