Contexto y entorno

Ratawi is an onshore field located in Iraq (Basra sector), TotalEnergies took over responsibility for operations from Basra Oil Company. Ratawi field produces light or heavy oil from several reservoirs with presence of CO2 and H2S. The field will be under extensive development to increase production and stop flaring. Developing the field will involve many projects, contractors and disciplines. The major challenges of this new affiliate are to ensure a smooth operatorship transition with the BOC, to develop and implement TotalEnergies safety culture and requirements, to coordinate and follow-up HSE activities within the GGIP.

Actividades

The main tasks of the HSE Safety Culture & Training Coordinator are as follows:

  • Monitor and implement the company’s HSE policies, procedures and programs.
  • Coordinate the deployment of Company’s HSE programs dedicated to enhancing safety culture (Golden rules, Our Lives First, Stop Card, Safety+, etc.) within the affiliate in liaison with the HSE Network.
  • Maintain the required HSE competencies across the affiliate and ensure training of all personnel.
  • Champion a safety culture by encouraging employees to take an active role in identifying and reporting safety hazards.
  • Promote safety culture and zero accident mindset in the affiliate.
  • Deploy activities to educate and raise awareness in the affiliate on the principles of HSE.
  • Ensure the application of company rules and requirements among affiliate personnel.
  • Deliver HSE awareness training where applicable.
  • Implement and monitor staff HSE training at affiliate level (office and site).
  • Maintain the required HSE competencies across the affiliate and ensure training of all personnel.
  • Prepare and update the HSE training matrix and annual training plan based on HSE legal and Company requirements and results of trend analysis.
  • Ensure the implementation of the HSE training program.
  • Ensure that all training activities are well manage in term of delivery, efficiency, timing, records, …
  • Coordinate with external training providers for the training inside or outside the company premises.
  • Contribute to the creation of new procedures and management system documentation requested as part of the deployment of the One Maestro framework system.
  • Assist HSE team to ensure compliance by all workers to all relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Carry out safety tours to ensure compliance with safety rules and the proper implementation of the Company's HSE requirements.
  • Participate in the preparation of material to enhance awareness on identified areas for improvement. 
  • Carry out HSE training as required.
  • Contribute to the analysis of HSE performance to identify areas for improvement to prevent accidents.
  • Ensure HSE communication on the shop floor (events, HIPO, REX, good practices, ...) and make them known to all teams.
  • Coordinate HSE activities between the office and site.

Act as a manager coach to members of the team where applicable.

Perfil del candidato

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental , Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical or process engineering  or related field.
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years’ experience in Oil and Gas with at least 4 years experience  in Health & Safety (HSE) related to safety culture & training with  exposure to HSE initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate and network in a complex and multicultural organization. 
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive, able to analyze and prioritize are essential activities
  • Languages: Good level in English is mandatory

The position reports to the Head of Safety Culture, Quality, Methods and HSE reporting in this context you will work in close collaboration with the other departments. The Job holder will receive guidelines hir/her hierarchical reporting line, to ensure the implementation of the Company's HSE requirements across the affiliate specially among local employees. You are the focal person to coordinate HSE safety culture and training activities with the team in the affiliate.
