Contexto y entorno

Context and Environment

  • Supervision of geological operations at rig site (availability onsite 24/7)
  • Onsite follow-up and reporting for Exploration, Appraisal and/or Development wells, deviated and horizontal wells, including HP/HT wells with narrow drilling window.
  • Significant impact on well safety and overall costs.
  • Working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural context.

Actividades

Supervise Geological Operations at rig site in close collaboration with Subsurface team in town and operational peoples on rig site. This

includes (but not limited to) well operations & acquisition program follow-up, coordination/supervision of contracted services performances at

rig site (crews and equipment’s), real-time data QA/QC, basic real-time interpretation, and post well analysis.

Key contributor to deliver our drilling operations in time, budget, and safe conditions.

HSE:

Ensure the application and respect of Total HSE rules and procedures for geological operations at rig site, being pro-active on this matter by

participating actively to the “stop card” system and by reporting all incidents, accidents and/or potentially dangerous situation observed. For

that he/she shall:

▪ Have all HSE and medical certificates updated and complete all HSE trainings required.

▪ Complete the 12 Golden Rules training (obtain the certificates) and participate regularly in the GR campaigns.

▪ Contributes actively to the development of the safety culture within the operational team offshore

▪ Key contributor for the proper respect of all safety procedures and orders applicable to all service companies’ personnel under his/her

supervision.

▪ Contribute to the safety of operations through efficient implementation, integration, and interpretation of real time detection techniques.

▪ Collect and share all safety alerts, incidents and/or accidents reports issued by offshore crews and service companies.

▪ Conduct, with help of SUB HSE coordinator, HSE & Technical annual visits/audits on service companies’ units (offshore) and bases

(onshore);

Operational Follow Up

Ensure application of wellsite standard procedures and standing orders for data acquisition and safety (in coordination with the drilling

team).

Make a complete and pertinent reporting from rig site operations to local office

Ensure the proper communication between the mud logging/wireline personnel and the drilling crews.

Participate actively in the identification and evaluation of drilling hazards (losses, gains, overpressure, swelling clays, etc) through the interpretation (real-time) of all available data (mudlogging, LWD, MWD, etc).

Ensure all geological surveillance tasks, from show and cuttings descriptions to drawing up the final composite logs and final well reports, always applying company standards. In agreement with management, and close collaboration with other entities concerned, take the decision to define a coring point, intermediate logging and drilling sections TD for casing points, etc.

Good knowledge in real-time mudlogging follow up (mainly GWD gas data and drilling parameters) and M-LWD data QA/QC, primary validation and interpretation, for well trajectory follow-up, geosteering, reservoir entry/exit detection and drilling phase/well TD decision purposes.

Attend on site daily/weekly meetings. During these meetings and at any time during operations WSG should point out and discuss with the drilling supervisor any geosciences information which can help drilling operation efficiency and safety Supervise CONTRACTORS performance for all the services associated to geological operations at rig site. (mudlogging, LWD, wireline logging and coring). This supervision shall include the check of quality and reliability of equipment, spare parts, consumables and the crew performance.

Work closely with other Total supervisors at rig site, in order to build a cohesive and efficient team. Participate actively to pre-job meetings before each drilling section, especially before specific operations such as coring, wireline logging, well tests, etc...

Participate into the elaborations, QA/QC and dispatching of all technical reports, related to the use of a new technology (REX), CTA or when uncommon environmental or operational conditions are encountered.

Prepare the End of Well Report within the given time and ensure its distribution to all entities and partners. Ensure dispatching from rig to base of any rock and/or fluid samples recovered during the well Actively participate for training of any new Well Site Geologists (in training and Junior)
