GRP/REN is Total’s Division in charge of the development, construction, O&M, asset management and financing of renewables projects: large and small scale (distributed generation) solar, onshore and offshore wind, off-grid energy, storage. Its strategic objective is to accumulate 35 GW of operational renewables capacity by end of 2025. With more than 10GW installed, the anticipated operating capacity is expected to reach more than 5GW/year. This represents annual project investments of c. 4 G$/y for TotalEnergies shares and c. $20 bn worth of debt to be secured.


As a Structured Finance Analyst / Financial Advisor, you will be part of the Structured Finance team which supports REN growth and drive the value optimising of financing of every transaction.

The Structured Finance team is responsible to : 

  1. Define the financing strategy for TotalEnergies Renewables’ projects, 
  2. Raise the required non-recourse debt to partly fund its developments, 
  3. Prepare and assess projects’ economics, 
  4. Advise on equity strategies. 

Main activities on this position are :

  • Assist senior members of the team on financing and project finance related tasks (due diligence, transaction structuring, data room, offer comparisons, transaction timetable and project management, documentation, etc) in the APAC region ;
  • Prepare presentations and analysis for potential financing & equity partnership opportunities ;
  • Support the Financial modelling of Renewables projects (Solar, Offshore Wind or Battery/Storage) to assess the projects’ economic profitability ;
  • Propose financial optimizations to increase projects’ profitability ;
  • Run scenarios, sensitivities and ad-hoc analyses to support structured finance and business development teams ; 
  • Support Business Development team in assessing project economics of new opportunities (including the development of financial models) ;
  • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance and Business Development teams, ensure the Projects that are being developed are bankable and financeable ;
  • Work with cross-functional teams and Business entities to ensure timely completion of valuations, diligence and integration ;
  • Prepare internal committee presentation (financial statements, economic results for TotalEnergies Renewables, sensitivities) to senior management in relation to internal committees’ decision ;
  • Maintain relationships with lenders (banks, ECAs, DFIs, etc).

Perfil del candidato

Expected qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or Master Business School degree specialized in science, maths, engineering, business


Technical skills & softskills:

  • Significant prior financial model experience, preferably in a transactions/Project financing environment
  • Understanding of accounting/finance (P&L, CFS, BS, etc.) 
  • Understanding of financing, particularly project finance/structured financing process preferred 
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly, in both oral and written forms 
  • Capable of advancing multiple work streams simultaneously, autonomous, rigorous and well-organized


Computing skills:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of VBA is a plus

Languages:

  • English: level B2/C1
  • French: level B2
