Join our affiliate TotalEnergies EP Gabon (TEEPG) based in Port-Gentil !


The position we are offering is located in mature assets producing oil and gas with water injection to maintain pressure. 

With an understanding of reservoir dynamics and as a Reservoir Monitoring engineer, you will :

  • Propose methods for acquiring the necessary data, monitor the execution and interpretation of these data for reservoir monitoring. These measurements include static pressure, flow gradient readings, pressure rise/fall tests, RST, PLT (Production Logging Tool).
  • Ensure that acquired data and interpretation results are saved in the appropriate files and databases
  • Ensure daily monitoring of the operational envelopes of producing wells and injectors, and propose corrective action in the event of deviations from instructions
  • Participate in technical operational meetings
  • Ensure the collection of reservoir-related problems (water breakthrough, GOR evolution, sand production, etc.) and propose an appropriate action plan: laboratory or in-well measurements, etc. 
  • Take charge of well files and ensure they are updated in line with the company's operational priorities: candidate wells for workovers, wells included in short-term intervention planning, etc. 
  • Working in close collaboration with the database technician, you will ensure the collection and feeding of business databases in strict compliance with predefined frequencies
  • Work in collaboration with the well performance teams, monitor deviations from budget forecasts and participate in the development of an action plan
  • Participate in the monthly production and water injection forecasting exercise.

Perfil del candidato

Expected profile :

  • General engineering degree or equivalent
  • 1st industrial experience, ideally with a digital component


Technical skills:

  • General engineering knowledge with basic programming and database handling skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, and motivated to supervise offshore/onshore reservoir measurements or interventions, first on a mentoring basis and then independently.
  • Knowledge of petroleum engineering would be a plus


Computing skills:

  • Programming skills: Python, SQL 
  • Knowledge of Power BI for creating reservoir management dashboards.


Languages:

  • English: level B2/C1
  • French: level B2
