The European Public Affairs Department (DAPE) in Brussels represents TotalEnergies' interests and promotes the company's new objectives to the European institutions. Its work mainly involves monitoring the implementation of the Green Deal and the initiatives of the new European executive, in particular the Clean Industrial Deal. You will join a team of 9 people in the heart of Brussels.
As an Assistant European Public Affairs Officer, your main tasks will be as follows:
1/ Monitoring the legislative activities of the European institutions
Monitoring the establishment of the new European Commission and Parliament following the European elections
Supporting the team in researching and analyzing legislative texts, in particular as part of the implementation of the Green Deal and the 2040 climate target
Drafting of newsletters and briefing notes
Contribution to DAPE's exchanges with the Company's branches
Preparation of presentations for European institutions
Support for the organization and follow-up of meetings with European authorities: Commission, Parliament and Permanent Representations
Monitoring and mapping of events in Brussels, follow-up and participation in certain events, e.g. at the European Parliament.
2/ Media monitoring and participation in DAPE communication activities
Monitoring of specialized publications on European affairs
Daily press review and dissemination of media content within the company
Monitoring of DAPE's social networks (Linkedin)
3/ Organization of public events designed to create a network and provide information on TotalEnergies' actions (conferences, symposia, breakfasts, etc.).
You will also be invited/encouraged to develop your own initiatives to create contacts, for example through circles of trainees or young people in the energy sector.
Perfil del candidato
Expected qualifications:
Master's degree in Political Science or European Public Affairs or equivalent profile
Soft-skills, knowledge, and technical skills:
