Are you ready to take your geological expertise to the next level? We are looking for a Senior Exploration Geologist to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur.   This is your chance to work on high-impact projects, shape exploration strategies, and contribute to groundbreaking discoveries in the energy sector.

• Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be part of the Malaysian Exploration team.
• You will collaborate closely with the Exploration Manager Malaysia and the APC Area Exploration Manager.
• Your work will directly support TotalEnergies’ portfolio growth and exploration drilling strategies in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of our exploration team, you will:

• Lead and support geological studies for both existing assets and new ventures.
• Analyse and integrate geological data to evaluate exploration zones and petroleum systems.
• Drive innovation by proposing new exploration themes and frontier strategies.
• Participate in international bidding rounds and farm-out evaluations.
• Evaluate prospects using advanced mapping, modelling, and risk assessment techniques.
• Present findings to internal and external stakeholders with confidence.
• Mentor junior geoscientists and help build a culture of continuous learning.

What We Are Looking For

• A university degree in MSc in Engineering or Geology (PhD preferred)
• 10+ years of professional experience in geoscience and exploration.
• Deep understanding of Malaysia’s energy landscape and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to integrate geological and geophysical data for prospect evaluation.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and project management skills.
