The internship will be held within the Solar R&D team of TotalEnergies OneTech, as a part of SolarOPS project. SolarOPS is a PV performance modeling platform that is used to simulate a multitude of different PV scenarios in different geographies, configurations, technologies, etc. The intern will be part of a small team that is responsible for the development of validation of the simulation results.

As an Automation of validation process of PV yield simulation M/F trainee, your missions will be:

Simulation of PV Plant Scenarios: you will be responsible for carrying out simulations of various PV plant scenarios using SolarOps. This involves understanding the requirements, setting up the simulations, and analyzing the results to provide actionable insights.

Automation of Validation Processes: you will work on automating the validation process within SolarOps. This includes developing scripts or tools to streamline the validation workflow, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Data Pipeline Creation: you will create a pipeline to handle the data generated from simulations and other processes. This involves data collection, storage, processing, and ensuring data integrity and accessibility.

Development of Visualizers: you will add visualizers to the system to help in the interpretation and presentation of data. This includes creating charts, graphs, and other visual tools to make data analysis more intuitive.

Alerts and Monitoring: you will set up alerts and monitoring systems to detect and notify in case of any anomalies or issues within the system. This ensures proactive management and quick resolution of potential problems.

Activities:

Simulation Setup and Execution: Setting up and running simulations for different PV plant scenarios in SolarOps.

Script Development: Writing scripts to automate the validation process and improve efficiency.

Pipeline Design and Implementation: Designing and implementing a data pipeline to handle large volumes of data effectively.

Visualization Tools Development: Creating visual tools to represent data in a user-friendly manner.

Monitoring and Alerts Configuration: Configuring alerts and monitoring systems to ensure the smooth operation of the model and timely detection of issues.

You will evolve within a team of experienced professionals and with a tutor-coach, the reference for your future profession. Individualized support will help you develop your autonomy and lead you to your diploma!

Currently enrolled in an engineering school or pursuing a Master's degree in data science and photovoltaics, are you looking for a final year or fourth-year internship lasting 6 months starting from April 2025?

With a first experience in Data Sciences, do you have knowledge in Python and Git/GitHub? Are you familiar with data analysis and cutting-edge tools? Are you proficient in software development and debugging?

Are you comfortable with office tools and familiar with the Office suite? You will specifically use Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Are autonomy, rigor, and team spirit integral parts of your qualities? Do you know how to take initiative?

Having good writing skills will be essential for your position. Being fluent in French is a plus.
