As part of the Company’s commitment to controlling global warming, TotalEnergies Renewables is involved in numerous commercial, technical, and industrial developments of large-scale projects worldwide, as well as the acquisition and sale of equity interests. This orientation requires strong legal support.

Actividades

Under the supervision of the Legal Manager, MENA, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the corporate law aspects of the existing entities of TotalEnergies Renewables in the region, including leading incorporation of entities, preparing boards and shareholders’ meetings and ensuring compliance with the governance rules of these entities,
  • Launching RfP for the selection of advisors,
  • Supporting in general the senior team members of the legal team, 
  • Drafting and/or reviewing a wide range of contracts (power purchase agreements, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, MOUs, joint development agreements, shareholders agreements, EPC contracts, O&M agreements, land agreements) and actively participating in their negotiation.
  • Preparing legal documentation for responses to calls for tenders for renewable projects and following the legal aspects of such projects once awarded (creation or participation in joint ventures, implementation of agreements).
  • Supporting the business development, construction, and asset management teams.
  • Coordinating and supervising the work of external law firms while applying the legal group policies related to the choice of law firms.
  • Contributing to the legal reporting of TotalEnergies Renewables and preparing relevant documents for internal committees l.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Company corporate policies applicable within your field of responsibility.
  • Implementing a culture of compliance and integrity.

Perfil del candidato

  • Postgraduate degree in business law with ideally a double qualification (Civil and Common Law).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a generalist position with good knowledge of corporate and commercial laws.
  • Excellent command of the English language; proficiency in French could be an advantage.
  • Experience working within a multinational company.
  • Pragmatic, attentive, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to complex and varied situations. Strong interpersonal skills are required as you will frequently collaborate with various counterparties and peers in other teams across TotalEnergies in the Middle East, Paris, and internationally.
