The patrimonial structure of the MozLNG Project consists of 11 legal entities acquired + 2 additional ones which modified the initial project structure and introduced new agreements.
Complex and multi layered contractual environment most of which first of its kind in the Country. Binding agreements and complex covenants (JOA, PSC, EPCC, Legal and commercial agreements, MOUs, etc.). Several interfaces with multiple stakeholders across métiers, affiliates, and external parties.
The activities are performed in a multifunctional environment which is subject to change (in safety, economics, monetary, tax and labor regulations).
High-level reporting requirements and significant scrutiny of the financial information of the MozLNG Project from Government, Lenders, Partners, Shareholders and Auditors resulting in added/high pressure to meet multiple deadlines without compromising the accuracy.
Actividades
Management role
Be responsible to Finance Director, together with the Financial Controller to lead the organization of the Finance Subcommittee meetings with the Area 1 Joint venture and its MozLNG entities.
Organize effective agenda setting, discussions and decision making based on interactions and inputs from internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare and presents comprehensive analyses and recommendations to the Finance Committee meeting upon request.
Ensure regulatory compliance, internal controls and risk management across all financial operations managed by the finance subcommittee or under the supervision of the Petroleum Regulator (INP).
Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, and governance within the subcommittee mandate.
Operational role
Oversee and manage the accounting operations for Area 1 joint venture, in compliance with international accounting standards and regulations.
Coordinate and prepare financial statements and reports for the unincorporated joint venture and its MozLNG entities.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making on cash calls and funding of MozLNG entities.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
Train and supervise accounting staff to ensure efficient operations.
Monitor and manage financial risks associated with Area 1 joint ventures Partners.
Liaise with joint venture partners to resolve accounting issues.
Support strategic financial planning and budgeting processes.
Perfil del candidato
Master Degree in Economics, Accounting or Audit or other professional.
Minimum of 15 years of professional experience oil & gas joint ventures with good understanding of Oil & Gas business and operational processes
Good knowledge of SAP systems.
Enhanced verbal and written communication skills, organization, autonomy and drive, patience, humility, and persistence.
Ability to perform multiple tasks against deadlines and work collaboratively as part of a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
Openness to continuous learning.
Fluent in English & Portuguese.
