Contexto y entorno

REN Business Unit:  

  1. REN is Total Energies’ Division in charge of the development, construction, O&M, asset management and financing of renewable projects: large and small scale (distributed generation) solar, onshore and offshore wind, off-grid energy, storage.
  2. Its strategic objective is to accumulate 35 GW gross capacity by 2025, 100 GW of operational renewables and a net production of 100TWh by 2030
  3. Given this ambitious growth agenda, the rapid pace of operations, and the regular changes, agility and fast-learning are imperatives: 
  • To deliver the objectives of top management
  • To continue capturing market opportunities
  • While industrializing processes and streamlining our organization


Assets & Countries Division (2024):  

  1. 9 subsidiaries and 14 countries of presence
  2. 590 permanent positions
  3. Strict monitoring of costs, especially fixed costs at subsidiary and regional level
  4. Integration or cession of new geographies and assets
  5. Improving technical and financial performance of assets
  6. Meeting Spark25 and InduSpark objectives

TotalEnergies Renewables Southern Africa (TERSA) operates in a dynamic, high-growth, and competitive environment. The region’s regulatory reforms and ambitious renewable targets create opportunities for new Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and embedded generation. TERSA’s strategy is to leverage its global expertise, local partnerships, and strong project pipeline to support South Africa’s energy transition and industrialization goals.

Actividades

Audits and reports

  • To ensure that business management systems are in place to satisfy the requirements of the Group preferred HSSE Management System in line with the following:
  • Scheduling of External audits (Management systems and legal compliance)
  • Follow through on all corporate Internal and External audit findings
  • Management of non-conformances and corrective actions regarding HSSE audits and assessments conducted.
  • Conduct trend analysis development and implementation of corrective action in line with One Maestro.
  • Management of HSSE electronic management systems.
  • Develop, review and maintain HSSE policies, procedures, templates and protocol 
  • To oversee the implementation of Office 365 tools and apps in line with the HSSE roadmap
  • Management of all HSSE related documents in terms of document control
  • To ensure constant adherence and compliance to the Group’s HSSE (Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality) standards, any local by-laws and government legislation thereby minimising all risk pertaining to the company’s assets and ensuring the safety of all people.
  • Management of the COREX process
  • Training, mentoring and coaching HSSE Practitioners on HSSE Systems
  • To manage all HSSE Communication Programs and Initiatives such as Safety Golden Rules and KPIs.
  • Provide support to all other HSSE Disciplines with regards to the various initiates and projects in each portfolio
  • Carry out any other lawful and reasonable instruction by the HSSE Director
  • Identify, plan and conduct HSSE training requirements, including training on critical tasks, always maintaining training records
  • To escalate identified high risk conditions and follow up on the actions required to remedy the situation.


Advising and training

  • Advice and train within area of responsibility on the development, execution and effectiveness of the HSE Management systems.
  • Develop and present awareness training on HSE issues when required.
  • Advise on the Health of HSE systems and resources needed

 

People Management

To ensure effective management of employees through continuous people management, staff development and coaching / mentoring to ensure a positive working climate that will attract and retain skilled manpower and increase productivity

Perfil del candidato

  • 5 years experience in Renewable Energy Independent Power Producers Programme (REIPPPP) Project Bidding, Award to Financial Close, Construction and Operations
  • Bachelor’s degree or formal training in HSE&Q field
  • Successful completion of courses related to HSSE Management Systems and Practices, and HSE legislation 
  • Environmental Management System Audit: Lead Auditor ISO 14001: A lead auditor course based on ISO19011 SAATCA registered / or Equivalent 
  • Excellent skills in problem solving, team building, ingenuity and initiative are required to coordinate problem resolution and to execute schedule requirements within a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Excellent leadership and team building skills, and being able to influence decision makers
  • Valid code 08 drivers license
