Leveraging your expertise, you will transform complex geochemical datasets into critical insights for basin understanding, resource assessment, and exploration risk reduction.

In this role, you will contribute to the study of sedimentary basins and petroleum systems through the acquisition, interpretation, and integration of geochemical data.

Actividades

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Characterizing source rocks, fluids, and petroleum systems.
  • Interpreting geochemical, isotopic, and analytical datasets.
  • Contributing to sedimentary basin modeling studies.
  • Assessing hydrocarbon generation, migration, and accumulation processes.
  • Performing oil-to-source rock correlations.
  • Participating in exploration prospect charge risk assessment.
  • Integrating geochemical, geological, and geophysical data.
  • Contributing to the evaluation of exploration opportunities.
  • Developing innovative characterization and modeling approaches.
  • Working closely with geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers.

Perfil del candidato

You hold a PhD in Organic Geochemistry, Petroleum Geochemistry, Geology, or a related discipline, with 3 to 7 years of experience in industry or applied research.

You have:

  • Proven experience in organic geochemistry.
  • Experience in petroleum systems studies and charge risk assessment.
  • Experience working with Rock-Eval data, biomarker geochemistry, and isotopic datasets.
  • Knowledge of 1D, 2D, and/or 3D basin modeling.
  • Experience integrating geochemical, geological, and geophysical data.
  • Professional proficiency in English (C1 level).
  • Willingness and ability to undertake national and international assignments.

You are recognized for your ability to apply your organic geochemistry experience to a wide range of petroleum system challenges, develop new technical competencies, and adapt to diverse exploration and subsurface evaluation environments.
