Within TotalEnergies, we offer the opportunity to engineering students in their fourth or fifth year (Bac+4 or Bac+5) who wish to prepare for the Energy and Markets, Electricity Management and Digital, Energy and Processes, Petroleum Engineering and Project Development, or Energy and Products programs at IFP School, to join us on an apprenticeship in order to apply their knowledge, develop key industry skills, and contribute to the energy transition.


Are you preparing to join the Energy and Markets (ENM) program at IFP School in Rueil‑Malmaison?

During your apprenticeship, you will alternate between IFP School (Rueil‑Malmaison, 92), and one of our TotalEnergies sites located in Île‑de‑France (Paris La Défense, 92, Palaiseau 91) or in other regions (Normandy Platform (76) – examples of possible locations).

Actividades

By joining our teams, you may be involved in the following activities (non‑exhaustive list of example missions across different departments):

_Work on economic models (maintenance and creation).

_Contribute, with the team, to the development, improvement, and validation of quantitative models used in the fundamental analysis of European power markets, to forecast market conditions. Provide expert quantitative analysis using statistical techniques and mathematical models to analyze market data, price dynamics, and other relevant factors. Ensure model implantation project in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

_Join the team in charge of power market forecasting and contribute to analyzing the fundamentals of the energy sector in Brazil: understanding market mechanisms and dynamics, conducting quantitative analyses to support strategic decision-making, and using and interpreting a fundamental model to forecast long-term electricity prices.

_Support business and production teams in optimizing green hydrogen usage schemes, in compliance with European and national regulations.

_Contribute to life‑cycle analysis (LCA) calculations for our biofuels and new energies for the Refining & Chemicals business units.

_Develop or enhance optimization and monitoring tools (margins, units, inventories, etc.) in line with market evolutions or site configurations. Support studies related to the transformation of our sites, in connection with the company’s energy transition objectives, particularly regarding valorization and logistics aspects.

Perfil del candidato

Education:
You hold an engineering degree, or an equivalent diploma issued by a university or a foreign school — Bac+4 or Bac+5 level.

Expected experience:
You have initial experience through an internship and/or apprenticeship in the energy sector (electricity or renewables, refining, chemistry, oil & gas) or in other related industrial fields.
International experience is appreciated.

Skills:
Fluency in English: TOEIC > 850
Analytical skills
Strong analytical mindset
Proficiency in advanced Excel – VBA – Python

Demonstrating a strong team spirit, you are also capable of working with rigor and autonomy. Your organizational skills, professionalism, and analytical mindset are essential assets for successfully fulfilling the missions entrusted to you.
